Bell test! A ring-a-ling! (Part 1)

After leaving the training grounds for my daily routine I headed home with Tobirama. It was getting pretty late.

"I told you already! I'm fine!" I said for the hundredth time.

"Are you sure? That Uzumaki brat kissed you! He KISSED you!!" Tobirama fumed, "And don't think I didn't notice you checking out your sensei!"

I choked. Checking out? Checking out!! I wasn't checking him out!! I was comparing him to...ok fine maybe I was...

"Tobi-kun..." I sighed, "Stop it. Don't be jealous. You're the only one for me and I wouldn't trade what he have for the whole world."

Tobirama nodded with a light blush.

We had arrived at my apartment and I sighed as I walked in.

"Okay..." I mumbled as I checked to make sure it was safe to speak to Tobirama in a louder tone.

No one was nearby except for civilians.

"..."

Tobirama glanced at me anxiously and pouted slightly.

"I hate being a ghost..." he sighed, "I can't embrace you or kiss and cuddle you..."

I almost awwed at how cute he just sounded.

I leant in to his ghost body and looked up at him (he was taller since I was in the body of a 13 year old) and pecked him on the lips.

While I couldn't feel him I still enjoyed every moment of my awkward kiss.

Tobirama flushed and wobbled slightly.

"Izuna...!"

I giggled, "Don't be like that Tobi-kun! We were lovers! We still are!"

He nodded with a blush.

Though...

'I wonder if I can revive him?' I pondered, 'Maybe...I could use the impure reincarnation...?'

No.

It was forbidden and it costed human lives. It sacrificed human lives!

I couldn't do that. I shouldn't be so selfish. I should just be content with having him by my side.

But...but I really do miss his warmth!

I shook my head and sighed sadly.

"Are you alright?" Tobirama asked concerned.

I nodded, "Yeah...just... missing the good old days..."

Tobirama said nothing.

"I'm glad though...that I don't have to live all alone..." I said as I prepared for bed.

I crawled into bed and laid my head down.

'Just maybe...we'll find a way...'

And I drifted off into the dream land.

Tobirama walked beside my sleeping form.

"I'm glad too..." he whispered as he caressed my face lovingly.

When I woke up I completely disregarded Kakashi's warning and ate a tomato omelette.

"He's lying." I told Tobirama, "He's going to do the bell test."

"The bell test? That's still a thing?" Tobirama asked while smiling, "It's been ages since I invented that!"

I nodded with a smile. I remembered watching that test for the first time.
