Staring at the silver band that my lovely boyfriend gave me, I hear Julie scrambling around the house grabbing random items and searching for something.

"Hey whatcha doing?" I asked Julie, confused

"Nothing... I am about to head over to Jonathan's to help him unpack because god knows how he can be when it comes to organizing" Julie said

Laughing lightly, I told her I was about to go for a run and that I would text her when I am done to see if I could head over there after.

As Julie walked out of the house, locking the door behind her, I started to change into a simple T-Shirt and Yoga pants, so I could go for a quick run to Central Park. Ever since I moved here I haven't had the time to really enjoy New York's beauty, so I thought running was the best way I could start.

Grabbing my keys, I ventured out into the beautiful city. I started running as soon as I got out of my apartment complex and headed straight towards Central park. I dodged people along the way, bumping into a few accidentally and profusely apologizing to them.

Arriving at Central Park, I slowed down a bit to admire the beautiful blend of greens and browns that occurred in the trees. It really is a beautiful sight, I thought to myself.

I slowly began to realize that I begin NYU on Monday. My nerves begin to consume me once more, will I have any classes with Jonathan or Julie? Will I like my classes? What about my teachers? The more and more I freak out I feel a buzz on my right leg. I take my phone out and see a text notification from Jonathan appear.

Jonathan: Hey. How's your run going? Let me know when you get home from your run. Be safe, I love you"

I smile as I read the sweet message he sent me. I'm truly lucky to have someone love me as much as Jonathan does. As I'm about to reply to him I run into a brick wall.

Falling to floor with a loud thud and a few 'ows' a large hand offers to help me up. Wait hand.... Hand... person... shit. I bolt up from my position keeping my head low and apologizing.

"Holy Shit! Are you okay?" a deep manly voice says to me. Gaining the courage to finally look up I see good looking man around my age. He is wearing simple jeans and a plaid shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Examining his hair next, it looks like a 'just got out of bed' look but he was making it work.

"I-I am fine. Sorry for bumping into you I didn't mean to I was just taking a quick run and I wasn't looking because I was texting my boyfriend and I was just nervous because I am starting NYU in a few days and I am really sorry sir..."

I was cut off by his adorable chuckle. Wait he was laughing at me. Shit why am I so shy all the damn time.

"It is fine... wait did you say the you were starting NYU?" he stared at me with his beautiful sea green eyes.

"Y-yea I am supposed to start in two days." I say, still being my shy self

"I am supposed to start there too. Maybe we can meet up on campus?" he said, smiling down at me. Literally because I am a midget compared to his size.

Gaining confidence, I smile up at him and agree to his proposal. Just as I was about to say my goodbye's and start running again he asks me another question.

"Is your boyfriend also going to NYU?" the mysterious stranger askes

"Yea... He and I are both going to NYU." I said, kind of hesitantly because then again, I am talking to a stranger and there is this saying called "STRANGER DANGER".

"Cool, I wish my girlfriend went to NYU with me, but she didn't get accepted so she goes to Columbia... Anyways, maybe we could all meet up. I am glad that i met someone who goes to the same college." He says, calmly

"Great!" I say, a little to enthusiastically "Well, it was really nice meeting you and sorry again for bumping into you"

"It alright. It was really nice meeting you too".

He moves out of my way, allowing me to run past him. As I am running back to my apartment a jumble of thoughts come into my mind. College won't be as bad as I thought it would be because I already know few people going there. Right???

+++++++++++++++

As I impatiently waited for the elevator to go to my floor, I struggled with finding my key on my key chain

'Ding'... finally, I thought to myself. Unlocking my apartment door, I hear a string of curses coming from the apartment complex next to mine.

"holy mother of chickens and god almighty himself. It can't fucking be Holy shit. Shit. Shit. Shit" a feminine voice said next to me.

Turning my head in confusion... I realize that the woman right next to me is staring right back at me. Holy Shit. This is not real.

"AMELIA!!!" I practically scream in excitement.

"CRYSTAL!!!" she screamed right back at me.

Next thing I know I am entrapped in a huge bear hug.

"Best Friend!! OMG how has it been?" Amelia askes me

"I have been great. you?" I said

"Great!! Are you busy right know, I am about to head to the coffee shop and I would love it if you came with me?" she says

"No, I am not busy right now... I would love to go with you!" I said enthusiastically

And that is how the rest of my day went. We went to a nearby coffee shop with my childhood best friend and caught up on our missed six years of life, completely forgetting about the mysterious stranger that I met in Central Park today.
