The Second Choice

So the new year is finally here and we are in the year 2018. When I walk into class I see that everyone just looks dead from winter break. As I sit down Micheal says to me "Hey Crystal, how was the rest of your winter break?"and so we just discuss what we did for the rest of our vacation and he tells me what he considers "jokes" for the rest of our first and second period. So as the day is about to end health class comes by and we usually do this thing called "Goals and gratitudes" which was created by my teacher Ms.Holly and we basically have to write down our goals for the week and who we are grateful for.

Ms.Holly picks on some people to participate and she calls on Micheal. He chooses to share his gratitudes and so he says "I am grateful for Crystal because she gives me water whenever we run the mile". When he says that I literally give him the most shocked face I've ever given because I did not expect him to mention me. The entire class goes "Awwwww" and my face turns a tomato shade red and so does his. "Why do they have to saw aw, he could have just said as friends"

I turn back to my best friend Amelia and she looks shocked but is giving me that evil smile at the same time.

And to top it off our teacher says "invite me to your wedding" which was pretty over the top but still embarrassed me.

As class ends I walk down the hall to my final class and I'm the first to leave because I don't really want to face Micheal as I'm confused as hell to why he did what he did. Amelia walks up to me and says "Crystal what the hell just happened?" and I say to her "I have no idea but I have a feeling people will be talking". Surely enough my classmates who weren't in our health class began to know and someone shouted "yesss I ship it mistal". And in that moment I wanted to die. But he meant that gratitude as friends...right?
