Chapter 8: Accident

Chapter 8| Accident

I woke up in a room with my hands tied behind my back. Duct tape was around my mouth. The door opened and Martinez walked in. I knew him from when I came the first time.

"Josie, the governor warned you." He said as he ripped the duct tape off. He tried to take it off so it wouldn't hurt but it didn't work.

"I know but he took Maggie and Glenn." I said.

"Oh friends of yours." He said.

"Ya I guess you could say that." I said.

"I tried to get him to let you go but he is really mad at you." Martinez said.

"I know, but I killed his daughter a second time." I said.

"True, but everyone knows it was a accident." He said.

"Ya a huge accident." I lied. It wasn't at all an accident. I told meant to.
"Thanks for trying." I said with a smile. He smiled back and the door opened.

FLASHBACK

"Michonne look." I said as I opened a secret door.

Michonne followed me inside. Fish tanks were along the wall. There was walker heads in them still alive too. I quickly looked away so I wouldn't barf. I walked over to a little cage something was in it. I motioned Michonne to come over. She opened it and a girl chained up with a bag over her head came out.

"Oh my gosh." I said my mouth wide open.

"Hey it's ok little girl." Michonne said trying to stop her from moving.

I stepped towards the cage and peered inside to see if any more kids were chained up. What a sick man I thought.

Michonne gasped. I turned to see she had the bag off and it was no little girl it was a walker.

"This is sick." I said and right as I did the door swung open. The governor stood in the doorway.

"What the hell are you two doing in here!" He yelled.

I lifted my sword up and pointed it at the little girl.

"No please don't." The governor said taking his gun off and holding up his hands.

I looked at Michonne she nodded. Before I could even think I drew the sword into the little girl killing her for the second time.

"NO!" He screamed.

He came at me but Michonne got in front of me. They started to fight. I didn't know what to do. The fish tanks fell over and then Michonne grabbed a piece of glass and jabbed it into his eye. I was terrified. The door then swung open and Andrea stood there her gun pointed at Michonne. The governor cried out in pain.

"If you ever come back her, Josie I'm gonna kill ya!" He yelled Michonne and me ran out that's when we escaped.

END OF FLASHBACK

The governor walked in he had a eye patch over his eye.

"I knew you wouldn't beat her up your to sweet." He said.

"She did nothing wrong." Martinez said trying to defend me.

"She killed my daughter!" The governor yelled and then punched me in the face.

The pain rushed through my face I could fell blood dripping down the side of my face.

"Why do ya have to do that!" Martinez yelled.

The governor punched me in the gut and then took out a whip.

"Don't do this!" Martinez yelled.

"Go get the other one!" The governor yelled.

The other one? Martinez gave me one last sorry look before heading out the door. I know he couldn't do anything or else we both would be dead.

The governor pushed me down and I felt the whip hit against my skin over and over again. Each time bringing new pain. My back was probably all bloody my arms and legs were a little hurt not bad though. Tears prickled my eyes but I refused to let them come. I wasn't gonna cry. He keep beating me my whole body ache. He punched me one last time in the gut and walked out. I sat there coughing up blood.

The door opened again, and a different man came in and dragged me to my feet. He put a bag over my head and I was sure I was gonna die. I then heard cheering and moans. I got pushed to my knees and stayed there as blood dripped down my body.

"I failed you, I let you all down. I told you this was a safe place. But people just came in and hurt our town for no reason!" The governor yelled.

"The people who came broke in and killed some of our men. One of the horrible people are one of our own. Merle Dixon he lead them here and let them in. From the help of his brother." The governor yelled and people cheered. My heart sank when I heard there names, the two people I loved the most are gonna die.

"The final one we caught use to be with us. Use to be one of us. Josie!" He said. The bag got pulled from my head and I saw bleachers full of people. People I use to know. I scanned the bleachers for him, Clarke. he looked at me shocked. Everyone did, they all thought I died. There was silence but soon cheering. I zoned out on what the governor said. I was losing too much blood. I looked at my uncle and dad fighting each other. And than at Clarke he still looked at me. I smiled a little. Than I started to get dizzy. A smoke bomb went off and people started to scream. There was more gunshots. I watched Clarke jump down from the bleachers but a gunshot hit him. I tried not to cry but it didn't work. It didn't make any difference because I soon blacked out.
