Like a Fool

I was on my bed preparing to sleep when I got 2 notifications on my phone.

(Kim Nayeon added you to Twice Manager group chat)

(Im Nayeon added you to Twice group chat)

I opened the first one and introduced myself to the rest of the manager team. I read the history of the group chat to catch up to what they did and are doing concerning Twice. Though after the introductions it became quiet so I just thought they are probably busy with their personal lives and talking about work at this time of night might get stressful.

I opened the second notification and it was as busy as a market. Texts were popping up in a blur. I couldn't even finish reading a reply when another pops up. I wondered why I was added because this should only be for the members. Well, the best solution is to ask right?

"Uhm... Hello?" I greeted.

"Hi Y/N oppa!" replied Momo.

"Y/N oppa!" Chaeyoung adds.

"Welcome oppa" typed Tzuyu

After welcoming me, they just went back to whatever they were talking about before. It was so hectic since they were jumping from one subject to another.

"Isn't this only for you guys, why am I here?" I asked.

"You are quite young oppa and you probably can't relate to the other managers that well" replied Nayeon. "So, I added you since I didn't want you to get lonely. I asked Jihyo for your number by the way. Hope you don't mind 😊" she added. Who was I to mind? A cute girl wants my number then so be it!

"Plus, you're really cute and we want to know you better 😉" typed Sana.

"I beg to differ but thanks, I'm flattered." I replied back

"It's not flattery oppa. Those are facts!" replied Tzuyu.

Her stern reply actually caught me off guard.

"So true Tzuyu-ah!" confirmed Dahyun.

As if it was coordinated, they immediately went back to into their world and the group chat was filled again by their questions and answers of just about anything. I sighed and thought "They are really lively huh? Probably the reason why people love them. Ah I'm tired. I should get some sleep."

The next morning was just routine and prepped myself for work, I was just nearing the entrance of the building when Kim Nayeon-ssi saw me. She gestured "Hurry up!" so I quickly caught up to her.

She informed me that we'll be accompanying some of the girls to a shoot and told me to ready up since we're leaving in about 5 minutes. "I should really get a copy of the girls' schedule so I don't get blindsided like this." I sighed.

I don't have much to prepare since I'm new but having more time to prepare also gives me some leeway in case of any emergencies.

The girls slept through the ride. They probably stayed up late talking about whatever. Soon enough, we arrived at the studio safely and helped the girls get ready for the shoot.

When the cameras were rolling, we didn't have much to do. So, the other managers and I were just chilling and getting to know each other more but also not completely forgetting to monitor the girls. We were happy to see them have fun on set. After what they went through in Sixteen, they deserved it.

Jun Kil hyung got called to help Sana.

The other managers and I were cheering him behind the camera and made fun of him as he got back.

"Jun Kil-ah you're a celeb now!" joked Tendo-hyung

"Haha totally!" affirmed Nayeon-noona.

Jun Kil hyung just waved us off in annoyance.

The shoot went well and the girls were all smiles. After we thanked the staff and wished them well, Momo was getting sleepy from all the jokbal she ate. For a girl though, she can eat! I ushered them to the car so they can get some rest on the way to their dorm. They didn't have anything more scheduled for the day. Of course, Momo immediately got knocked out as soon as she sat inside. Followed by Sana and Tzuyu a few minutes into the ride.

I was sitting beside Mina when I noticed her glancing and almost staring at me as if she wants to say something. I figured she's just shy so I took the initiative and asked her.

"What is it? I'm your manager now so you can ask me anything."

"How'd you know oppa?" she said in shock.

"You were quite obvious" I said with a smile.

She immediately turned red in embarrassment but composed herself as best as she can to ask me her question. If she wasn't cute enough before, then she definitely is now. Seeing her trying to hide her embarrassment made my heart pit-a-pat.

"Anything, right oppa?" she asked and I nod. "My legs are hurting from the shoot. All that climbing up and down made it sore. Can you help me with this later oppa?" she continued, red as a tomato.

It was a bit personal but I'm her manager now. I should do at least this much, right?

"Of course! If you'd have me, then anything for you girls." I replied.
