I felt like I haven't been spending time with the maknaes that much so I decided to do so today. I'll make yesterday's performance as an excuse to be with them today. Though I'm pretty sure they won't care. They performed at SBS's Awards Festival yesterday and I can say that Twice really does shine better onstage.
One thing I can't forget about yesterday was the headband that Nayeon wore. She really didn't have to go to such lengths to look younger so I did what a sensible Oppa would do and teased her for it but enough of her. Today is for the kids.
I texted Dahyun as the oldest of the group and asked her what they wanted to do today. She took her time to reply probably because they were having a meeting about it. She replied 15 minutes later and told me that they all wanted to do something different. Dahyun wanted to play, Chaeyoung wanted something to do with art, and Tzuyu wanted dogs.
I tossed and turned on my bed to come out with something. Then it hit me, why don't we do all at once? I got my phone and texted my Seonsaengnim then also told the girls to get ready. I called the office to ask if we can get someone to give us a lift. Thankfully there was one.
I figured that bringing an easel would be too bulky so I went to an arts and crafts store to get a drawing book and what you might need to draw. I have no idea about that so I just asked the lady in the store to give me what she thought she'd need if she was drawing outdoors. I stopped by a restaurant on the way back for our food.
"Oppa where are we going?" asked Chaeng.
"To a park"
"Which one?"
"I don't know yet. We're gonna meet someone first and ask him which one is the least crowded."
I didn't want to spoil what's coming next because one will love it and another will get uncomfortable. We talked about their performance yesterday and I complimented them about it. The smiles on their faces when I did so was just priceless. I seriously would give anything to keep those smiles.
"Wah! This is Jeongyeon-unnie's house."
"Nooo... Oppa you haven't, have you?"
"As expected, you catch on pretty quick."
"Oppaaaa waeyo!!!" she whined. I can still picture her cute face.
"Don't worry. I'll sit with you in the middle. Tzuyu and Chaeng will handle them at the back."
The two still didn't catch on what I planned. Though Tzuyu's eyes sparkled as she sees Jeongyeon's dad come out carrying Bbosong and Nanan. I met him halfway and took them from his hands.
"Seonsaengnim thanks for lending me them."
"No, no. I should thank you. They haven't been able to play in a while. Everyone in the house got busy because it's the end of the year."
"My pleasure. I'll bring them back before dark."
With that, I said goodbye. I didn't even have the dogs in my hands anymore. The three went out from the van to say hello to Jeongyeon's dad. After which, Tzuyu immediately got a hold of Bbosong and Chaeyoung with Nanan. Dahyun was behind me holding onto my arm as she's scared of dogs.
The two youngest went inside first so their unnie wouldn't have to be close to the dogs. Both Dahyun and I went inside after them and off we went. I told Jeongyeon's dad that I was bringing the three girls so he suggested a park that is usually empty or just mostly elderly people.
We got to the park a couple of minutes after and I started to unpack. Guilty that she wasn't doing much, Dahyun offered to carry some of the food but I could just let her to that. I instead asked her to carry the blanket that we were gonna use for our picnic. She was more than happy to be of help.
