Hold Me Tight

We gathered at the couch in the living room. They insisted I sit in the middle. Ahh... this is gonna be one of those nights huh?

We browsed the channels looking for anything good to watch. We got to a show called "Same Bed, Different Dreams". Before they could switch the channel again, I spoke up.

"Hey that's looks interesting, let's watch that instead."

"Aish oppa you're acting like an ahjussi again. Let's watch a drama!" Nayeon says.

"God-Yoo is the MC you know? Maybe you can learn some things while watching him."

"I'm a big fan of him... let's watch a drama after this please???~" I added.

They all cringed at my attempt at aegyo. Grimacing their faces like they saw something horrendous. I made more cute gestures to tease them further.

"Okay okay... We'll watch it... just stop doing that"

The show's guest was a North Korean defector who is aspiring to be a UFC fighter. Apparently, his mom doesn't want him to be one. Though I can't blame her. UFC is a seriously hardcore sport. Dripping blood is a normal sight when watching a match.

"Ouch that looks painful." Jeongyeon scrunched up her face as a clip of the guest kicking his sparring partner on the jaw was shown.

"I can't imagine myself being in that situation." Says Dahyun

"Yeah, me too." Agreed Chaeng

A music video from NoKor played at of nowhere. It was one of those old ones where the characters act out the lyrics. Though that style is coming back around. I've seen more and more MVs with that sort of theme.

"Wah... That looks so old..." Says Sana in amazement.

To be honest, it wasn't that bad really. Just that the quality of the video is rarely seen these days.

More clips of the guest were shown. This time it was during is training. He was asked if he was interested in anything apart from MMA; like girls for example. He answered no and that he was only interested in training. However, the videos don't really agree.

"Ahh so cute. Trying to look cool and all." Said Jihyo.

"Haha he's totally into girls." Teased Jeongyeon.

We get to the scene where the guest visited his mom. It's been a while since he's been home. His mom wasn't home yet so he decided to cook dinner. He made dubu-bap and some eggplant sundae.

"Damn, I'm getting hungry again..." Murmured Momo

"Yah! We just finished eating!" Jeongyeon scolds her roomate

"I know but it just looks so good..."

"Aish jinjja. Want me to cook you some more food?" I told her.

"No, it's okay Y/N-oppa."

The mom and son were arguing over dinner. The son wanted his mom's support but the mom really doesn't want him doing it. She recalled why they came here and how hard it was.

It was inevitable that some would get teary eyed watching a mom cry because of her child. Risking death, evading patrols, all that just so her son can get beaten up in the octagon.
