[02.] Family

"Aspyn, get up. I have a mission for you." Lilith said, flipping on a light.

Groggily, Aspyn said 'okay'. She sat up and began sliding into a new outfit and brushing the tangles out of her hair. She was a lot happier today, seeing that she had a full meltdown last night.

As she walks downstairs, she sees that everyone is gone besides Tannis.

"Where did they go?"

Tannis jumps a little, but see's its just Aspyn. "They went to Moxxi's, today you all are training the new guys."

Aspyn just nods and makes her way to the bar. She can hear them shouting and laughing, which gave some good vibes. As she got closer, Moxxi soon saw her and shouted, 'There's the lady we've been waiting for.'

Aspyn feels the corners of her mouth tug themselves into a smile and begins to laugh.

"Aspyn!" Mordecai raises his booze up as if he's toasting to her.

"What's up with you guys today? You seem a little too happy."

"Something came back online this morning while me, Brick, and Mordecai were in the war room."

Aspyn raises her brow, "and?"

"Angel."

Brick and Mordecai both cheered loudly, while Moxxi smiles and winks at Aspyn.

"You're kidding. Is she alive?"

Lilith nods and laughs, "Yep, if you want to - go to to the Dust. Ellie is taking care of her."

Aspyn didn't even respond, she just ran out of the bar to go to the fast travel station.

Travel Commencing : The Dust

As soon as Aspyn feels her feet touch the ground, she begins sprinting into the garage. Angel looks up and Aspyn stops in her tracks. A smile spreads across both of their faces.

"Is it really you?" Angel asks, her voice cracking in the middle of her sentence.

She doesn't even give her a chance to before tackling her into an embrace. The two begin crying in each other's arms. Apsyn felt Angel's tears soaking through the shirt and gripped her tighter.

"I missed you," Aspyn says in a sniffle.

The two finished up and turned to see Ellie smiling at them.

"You two are just so precious!" She laughed.

Angel quickly looks to Aspyn, "Can you please take me to Sanctuary? I want to see everyone."

Grabbing Angel's hand, Aspyn runs to the fast travel station.

"Bye, Ellie! See you soon!" Angel and Aspyn both yell as they leave.

- Back at Moxxi's Bar -

"Where did Aspyn go?" Rhys asked, as he and his group walked in and sat down at the bar.

"She went to get her surprise from Ellie's garage."

"What was her surprise?" Sasha smiled.

Before Lilith could even answer, Aspyn and Angel were yelling and their footsteps echoed through Sanctuary. Everyone in the bar turned to the noises and seen huge smiles plastered on the girl's faces.

"SHE IS BACK!" Aspyn squealed, holding onto her sister's hand still.

"Hi, guys!" Angel laughed, "I missed you all!"

Not even a second later, a sharp pain went through Aspyn's head. She sat up in her bed, sweat dripping down her forehead.

It was all a dream.
