[12.] Siren

"You're a siren, Aspyn." 

Her mouth fell open as she looked up at the blue figure on the screen. She wasn't even sure how -- she didn't even have the siren markings on her body. Timothy noticed that this was hurting her, she trusted her friends on Pandora but they've actually lied to her the entire time.

Timothy tried making his way towards her, wanting to comfort her. Before he could, Rhys put up his hand to warn him to slow down. 

"When you were born, the Guardians on Elpis -- they came to warn me and your mother of your power." His features were soft, "People found out that you were the most powerful siren in the universe -- those bandits wanted you." 

"Why? Why would they want me?" 

"Your powers were endless--" He sighed, "We tried hiding the markings, I even had our whole biology department working on a way to hide them. We did, but it wasn't enough to trick them." 

"They used me?" 

"They wanted to use you to get to the vault. They had infiltrated Helios and threatened to take you with force." 

"Why did you let me go?" 

"I knew they wouldn't hurt you if I just handed you over-" 

"But-"

"I was the bad guy, I know that."

Aspyn stayed silent, not knowing what to say. She was hurt, she killed her own father to protect people who used her. 

"But the time I went to Opportunity-" She choked out, "Why did you try to kill me?" 

"I wanted to trick them, take you back - I knew your echo was on. I didn't want to hurt you." 

"But you should have told me-"

"Would you have listened?" 

She shook her head in defeat, "I'm so sorry, dad. I-" Tears began to roll down her cheeks, "What about Angel? Why did you kill her?" 

"I wanted to protect her! She was a siren-like you! They wanted her! They manipulated her!" 

"Oh..." She looks up, "I'm sorry." 

"It's okay, cupcake. I have an idea."

Aspyn raised a brow, confused as to what he means. 

"I can use a vessel, I just need to kill someone." 

"Who?" 

"Timothy."

Her face twisted into anger, "No." She growled, "You aren't doing that." 

"That's where you're wrong." 

A robotic noise came from the ceiling and a turret came out, shooting directly at Timothy. Thankfully he had his gun ready and began shooting at it, so did Aspyn.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" She screamed. 

"Everything will be okay-" Jack yelled, "Just let me do this."

"Rhys!" Aspyn yells, "Take this!" She tosses a gun over. 

"Wha-" 

"Point and pull the trigger! Megan run!" 

"Stop fighting it!" 

Before Aspyn could even look over, a bullet came right at Timothy. The screen in which Jack was on was covered in static and his voice was cutting in and out. 

"Timothy!"
