That night, Ruby was writing a letter to her friends at Signal about her (mis)adventures at Beacon, when Yang plopped down next to her with a grin.

Yang: This is great! It's like a big slumber party!

Ruby: Yeah. But I don't think Dad would approve of all the boys, though.

Yang: I know I do~!

She purrs as she watches several muscular, shirtless guys and... Jet wearing a t-shirt with the Build design.

Yang: Aw, I thought he wouldn't be wearing a shirt. Anyway, what's that?

Ruby: Just a letter to my friends at Signal. I'd promise to tell them about how things were going.

Yang: Don't feel so down, little sis. You've already got some friends.

Ruby: I don't think Weiss counts. Back to zero.

Yang: C'mon, that isn't true. Besides, you've got Jaune. That's a plus.

The two sisters noticed a lit candle, and Blake reading a book.

Ruby: That girl...

Yang: You know her?

Ruby: Not really. She and Jet helped me earlier but she left afterwards.

Yang: Well, now's your chance!

Ruby: Wait! What are you doing?!

Yang began to drag the struggling Ruby to Blake, who noticed both them and Jet approaching her.

Jet: Hello. My name's Jet Spectrum. And yours is...?

Blake: Blake. Blake Belladonna.

Jet: It's a nice night we're having.

Blake: (looks up and smiles) It is, isn't it?

Yang then shows up with Ruby grumbling.

Yang: Hel-looooo! I believe you've met my sister? Oh, hey Jet!

Blake: Aren't you... the girl who almost exploded?

Jet: Indeed she is. Also, hello Yang. This is Blake.

Ruby: Uh, yeah! My name's Ruby! But you can call me Crater... Actually, you can just call me Ruby.

Blake: Okay.

Blake goes back to reading her book. A feeling of awkwardness starts to arise.

Yang: She's a lost cause. Let's go.

Ruby: What's your book about?

Blake: Huh?

Ruby: Your book. Does it have a name?
