~Iris's POV~

Cassie showed up rather early on the morning of the day that we were leaving to wherever this cabin was that Luke had. I had packed four large suitcases of clothes, knowing I'd need to have a shitload. We were going to be gone for the entirety of the summer, after all. Honestly, I had reconsidered going once I heard that, but I knew Cassie really wanted to go. Plus, it couldn't be too bad, surely.

The drive was long, long enough that I fell asleep for the whole thing and was woken up by Cassie sticking her finger up my nose. I sneezed, flinching away from her as my eyes opened and I realized we had already arrived. "You're annoying." I pouted, climbing out of the car as she stood there laughing.

My eyes landed on the cabin, my jaw slacking at how huge it was. It was a good two stories high, and in the middle of the woods. "Good...shit!" I exclaimed, blinking in surprise. Cassie snickered and suddenly smacked me on the ass, causing me to jump. "Let's go!" She grinned excitedly. I rubbed my butt, following after her as I decided I'd get my bags later. I wanted to see the inside first. The bags could wait.

The first thing I saw when I came in was the living room, large and wide. In the center there were three large couches, one facing towards me and the other two across from one another. In the middle there was a large black fluffy rug, with a round glass table sat atop it. To the left of us was a staircase that started right before the window, leading up. Along the wall high above was a railing, which peered down into the open living room. To the right, I spotted a rectangle shaped dining table, with about eight chairs, three on either side and one at each end. Curious, I started towards there with Cassie, the both of us gaping at the large cabin we were in. The place was absolutely beautiful.

The dining room led into the kitchen, which was large and very spacious. There was a rectangle island in the middle, the counters a light granite. I pulled a door open and my jaw slacked, seeing a huge walk-in pantry with tons of space for food. "Holy shit on a stick." Cassie gasped. I nodded in agreement, letting the door swing shut as I looked up at the high ceilings while I walked back into the dining room. Even more to the right was a smaller room, a laundry room. I walked back into the living room with Cassie, glancing out the large windows that lined the wall behind the furniture. The windows poured natural light into the room, brightening it up.

We headed upstairs and saw that many of the rooms had the same style, as far as their layout and even their beds and bedding. They were mostly platform style beds with neutral toned bed-sets. There was one room after another after another, so many that I was sure they'd never end. Then, however, we finally reached the end of the hallway and found the last door. I went to go in but squealed in surprise when the door was swung open, stumbling back into Cassie. She gripped my waist and I looked up at Luke, who raised a brow down at me. "Sorry! W-We were just exploring." I exclaimed, not wanting him to think we were going to do something wrong. His blue eyes scanned my face and he slowly nodded, gesturing for me and her to turn and leave. "This is my room." He said simply, silently refusing us access inside. That seemed reasonable enough to me, being that this was his cabin, so I turned and practically shoved Cassie ahead of me so we could leave.

Luke didn't scare me, but he did intimidate me. I didn't know him well.

"We sharing a room?" Cassie wondered, looking over at me. I nodded, shoving her into the nearest empty room that had both no people and no bags. "Yes. I don't want to sleep in a bed with someone I don't know." I said, scowling at the idea. She laughed, looking around the room. There was a dresser against the wall on the left side of the door and a glass door at the left side of the room, a little beside our bed. Yes, glass. Even more, it led out to a balcony. As I curiously stepped out, I saw the balcony overlooked the woods and wrapped around the back of the house, a door from each of the bedrooms leading out to the balcony. It was shared, I realized. I stepped back into the room and frowned, noticing there was no curtain or anything to cover the door with. It was just glass, so the light would come right through in the morning. Damn it.
