~Iris' POV~
The next morning, Cassie woke me up to help make breakfast. I sighed to myself and whined, rolling away from her as she poked me in the face. "Wake up, Iris!" She whined, but I ignored her. I just wanted to sleep some more. There was no way I'd slept more than seven or eight hours, which, for me, wasn't a lot. Not during the summer, anyways.
When she realized I wasn't going to listen, I felt her grab the fabric of the blankets and yank them off. I shot up, my dark hair probably a tangled mess. "Give me that!" I exclaimed angrily, not liking that I was being disturbed from my sleep. She only stuck her head up stubbornly, pursing her lips in refusal. I glared at her and accepted that she wasn't going to be giving me back the blankets, knowing her. Therefore, I rolled onto my side so that I wasn't facing her and curled up into a ball to try to go back to sleep. "Iris! Wake up now!" She demanded, sounding motherly. I just ignored her again. "Get up right now! I'm not joking." She repeated, but still I did nothing. "Don't you make me go get Luke." She threatened.
For a second, I hesitated. I really didn't want her to do that. She knew he and I hated each other and I had a feeling his methods of waking me up wouldn't be so nice. After a moment, I calmed myself down. Luke was probably asleep and he didn't like other people being in his bedroom, ever, so it didn't matter. Her threat was void. That was why I ignored her. I shoved my head under the pillows and stayed curled into a ball, noticing that she had gone quiet. I decided to brush it off, not thinking much of it. I heard the sound of two sets of footsteps enter the bedroom, but still, I paid little to no mind. "Go away, Cassie. I'm so tired." I whined, causing her to scoff. "Fine, I'll leave." She muttered. I frowned in confusion, wondering why she had decided to go. When the door lightly shut, though, I couldn't find it in me to give much of a shit anymore. Instead, I just tried to go back to sleep.
Suddenly, a single set of footsteps headed towards my bed, and I sighed irritably. "Go away!" I complained, not bothering to see who it was. Suddenly, a hand clasped around my ankle and I was tugged from my spot, causing me to squeal in surprise. My head shot up while I tried to pull my leg away from their grip, glaring when I realized it was Luke. "That little traitor!" I hissed, using my other foot to try to kick him away.
Luke glared back at me, pulling me to the very edge of the bed. "Get your lazy ass up." He snapped, but I just yanked and kicked my leg around in his grip. "Let go of me, you dick!" I exclaimed, unsurprised when he didn't listen to my request. He tugged me more off the edge, so that my butt hung off and I had to hold onto the sheets to not fall. "I said get up! I'll drag your ass right off this bed, Iris." He threatened, but I just shook my head. "You're stupid! It's your fault I'm so tired, so get away!" I glared at him, holding tightly to the sheets as I tried to pull myself up onto the bed again. As I expected, it didn't work. His hands tugged me harder, but I resisted, gripping onto the bed as I kicked my legs. "Let go of me, you moron!" I groaned, but he just glared at me harder. "Goddamn it, you're a stubborn bitch. Just get up so you can make breakfast!" He demanded, causing me to gape at him. "This is your cabin! You go make breakfast!" I scoffed.
His face formed into a scowl, gripping tighter at my ankles while he stared down at me. "I like your friend better." He growled. I just rolled my eyes, giving him an unimpressed look. "Do you? Wow! That's so nice, but unfortunately, I couldn't give less of a shit. Now get away." I snapped, now glaring at him again.
Luke dug his nails into my ankles and I hissed in pain, still trying to kick him away. "Yeah, I do. At least she doesn't bitch at me and drink my sodas, you little brat. Plus, she's hot." He said. Disgusted, I clenched my jaw. "She's not hot, you pig. She's beautiful and way out of your league. Don't even think of it." I snapped, not wanting him to have anything to do with her. He was a dickhead and she was too good for that. "Don't worry. I don't need more pussy." He assured. I stared at him, disgusted. "You are gross." I said simply, glaring at him once again. "Now let me go." I huffed, momentarily stopping the kicking of my legs. He pursed his lips and shook his head, making it clear that that wasn't happening anytime soon. "Just get up. You can think of making breakfast as payment for drinking my soda last night." He said, only making me scowl at him. "I already bought you two packs. My payment has been completed." I snapped. He didn't seem to appreciate that.
