Lalisa Manoban
9 a.m.
I still got one hour left before my class yet I'm rushing to get to the University because Jimin is waiting for me at the convenience store near it.
She actually called earlier to informed me that her parents went into a business trip so nobody is cooking food for her. That was the reason why she told me to come early and have breakfast with her at the convenience. Which I say is a good idea since I still haven't stock food in my fridge.
Bambam said he'd gift me a lift to groceries but he kept on forgetting because of their basketball practices and something he's always busy about.
Though, I really need to get groceries as soon as possible. Maybe later?
Once I got my bag pack on and brought my homework, I quickly got out of the apartment and off I go to the waiting shed for the bus.
At exactly 9:30, I was entering the convenience store and spotted Jimin immediately.
She already has food served on one of the small table.
"Lisa! Finally! I already bought food to not waste time anymore." She said upon seeing me.
"Good morning! I'm so sorry I'm late." I told her while sitting on the chair, facing her.
"Nah, that's all good. Let's eat before the ramen gets cold." She told me while stirring her cup of ramen.
I copied what she's doing, and then after awhile we're eating.
"Korea's convenience store is seriously one of the best." I said while my mouth is full.
"True that. Better than my Mom's food actually." She said and I laughed because she just dissed her mother's food.
"You're not saying that because she left you in your house without anyone to cook food for you, are you?" I asked after slurping the good broth of the spicy ramen.
"Nah, I speak of the truth. In our house, I like the food more when my Dad is cooking."
Now that she told me that, I suddenly remembered my dad who is a chef.
"My Dad, too. Though my Mom cooks good food she just can't beat my chef." I told her, laughing as I reminisced those moments with my Dad.
"Your Dad is a chef?" She asked, wide-eyed.
I nodded my head, "A great one! Sadly, I didn't inherit his talents. I only know the basics in cooking."
"Same! I don't know my way around the kitchen, that's why I want to find a lover who will cook for me not the other way."
I laughed because she seemed really determine to what she will do in the future.
"What if you fell in love with a guy who doesn't know how to cook? You know how life plays, you can't really plan who you will fall in love and want to be with."
She stopped her chopsticks from getting a piece of boiled pork and looked at me while chewing.
"Ah, so you believe in destiny?"
I stopped to think, "Well... not really. What I meant is, once you fall in love with a person, your ideals would be nonsense."
She nodded her head like she's saying, "I understand."
Then she said, "Well, if that's the case, we'll just live with ordered food and take outs. Or maybe ask my Dad or Mom to cook for us then I'll just re-heat. That is if the guy is alright with that."
