LALISA MANOBAN
That night, Jimin and I were waiting for Jungkook.
Few minutes back, he called me to say that he would just get his bag of clothes and things for the outing and then will drive here to my apartment.
Upon his arrival from Busan, he insisted on driving here despite being exhausted from his work he had done the whole day.
I argued that he's too tired to do that and it would be better if he just rest at his own abode but he's to hardheaded that I can't do anything about it.
Besides, he got me when he said, "I'm really tired and I haven't see your face for so long. Please don't torture me like this."
"I wonder what got into your head and you invited Mina." Jimin uttered while we were making kimchi fried rice and cooking beef for dinner.
Yes, we do have a little knowledge about cooking but at the least we can do something simple like this.
I pouted, "You really don't like the idea of her that much? You... were friends with her."
From cutting the kimchi to pieces, she stopped and turned to me.
"You know the story, Lili."
I put on a sad smile, "I know. But don't you feel heavy thinking that she must be alone all this time? She's hurting all alone? Maybe needing her friends?"
She looked taken aback but quickly gathered her self, "She put herself to that position, Lili."
I looked at her straight in the eyes, "Don't you think it's time you forgive her? It's been a year, right?"
Jimin just shrugged her shoulders, "If only time can heal wounds that fast..."
I sighed, "Can't you give it a shot this time? Maybe you did forgive her already but you just don't know."
She chuckled like I was saying something absurd, "I wouldn't feel irritated if that was the case. But you know what? Let's just continue cooking and stop talking about this. I already agreed that she can come with us because for some reasons, you feel her and you're important to me, but let's just leave it at that. Don't make me change my mind right now. I'm in no mood for that."
I put on a sad smile again as I nodded in understanding.
This was harder than I thought. If Jimin who was indirectly involved with what happened can't be deal with easily, how much more when I opened about this to Eunwoo and Jungkook who were the most affected?
Ugh, I don't know anymore.
We were setting the food on the table when Jungkook arrived.
I was the one who opened the door and got surprised when a bouquet of flowers greeted me.
"What--?" I muttered and when he moved the flowers away and revealed his face with a huge smile, my lips also broke into a smile.
"Hi, flowers for the one I missed so much." He cheekily smiled and handed me the bouquet.
I accepted it and shyly uttered a thanks before inviting him to get inside.
He shook his head which surprised me.
"You don't want to go in? We're about to eat dinner..."
He grinned which confused me.
Then, all of a sudden, he dropped his bag and spread his arms.
"Hug?"
I tried to bit back a smile, "Jimin's here."
He raised his eyebrows, "And so?"
