Chapter Ten: Tekila

((Just to clear it up, Tekila is pronounced TEH-kee-lah, not teh-KEE-lah))

"She hired them from Hollywood." Kyoya told her.

"What's with this script?" Kaoru complained.

"You don't like it either, do you, Taka?" Carala asked him.

To other people, he looked the same, but to Carala and Mitsu, he looked slightly annoyed.

"Hey Haruhi kun, can you help me?" Renge called.

Mitsu still looked a bit sad.

"It's okay, Mitsu! None of us are really hurt.." Carala patted his head.

"..Takashi?" Mitsu looked at Taka.

"It's fine, Mitsukuni." Taka smiled. (Or just lifting the corners of his mouth a bit)

CLANG.

"What was that?!" Carala and Tamaki ran to where Haruhi was.

"Haruhi!"

Haruhi was on the ground, with a worried Renge and two boys she never saw before.

Enraged for the first time, Carala ran up to them and punched the taller one in the face.

He fell with his back to the wall, with Carala clutching his collar threateningly, Though she was nearly a head shorter, she still looked terrifying with her messy hair and wild look in her eyes.

"Which one of you did this?" Carala asked in a dangerously low and quiet voice. The boy was trembling in fright, but she didn't let go.

"I-It wasn't us! She started-ah!" The second boy was backing away, only to bump into Taka, who was looming over him.

"..Let go, Carala." Taka said.

Carala didn't move.

"Teacher! Over here!" Kaoru and Hikaru called. "Scary D class people."

Carala still didn't let go until Taka forced her hand away.

"Run!" They cried, running away.

While Tamaki was comforting Haruhi, Carala just stood facing the wall, her head down, hand clutched into a fist.

"..Cara." Taka said.

No answer.

"Carala."

Still no answer.

Suddenly, Taka picked Carala up and put her over his shoulder.

"W-Wha?! Taka, what are you doing!? Put me down!" Carala yelped in surprise.

"You're skirt's long, don't worry." Taka started running.

"What?! Taka!" Carala was extremely surprised as she saw Tamaki and Haruhi's bodies fading away.

Finally, Taka stopped and set her down. He was slightly panting.

"What was that for, Taka? Why are we here?" Carala demanded, outraged.

"A place where no one can hear us." Taka put his hands on Carala's shoulder and shook her hard. "What were you thinking?"

"H-Huh?" Carala was startled.

"You let her show again! You can't just become violent when you're mad, control it!" He yelled.

"So? Haruhi was hurt!" Carala shouted back.

"Are you saying you want to go back as Tekila?" Taka asked coldly, without thinking. His face seemed to immediately know what he just said was wrong, but it was too late.

Carala pushed him away from her and covered her ears. "Tekila is dead! She died five years ago in the Tsubasa Estate with her parents!" She screamed, tears bursting from her eyes. "There is no Tekila, only Carala!"

Taka silently cursed to himself, regretting mentioning Tekila.

"..I'm sorry, Cara chan." Taka said softly, hugging her. "There is no Tekila, she's gone. There's only Carala."

"Huh? Where were you, Mori senpai?" Tamaki asked when Taka stepped in.

"We couldn't find you, and- woah! Basa senpai! Are you okay?" Carala was being piggy backed by Taka.

"I'm fine, Tono! Thank you for worrying about us!" Carala responded cheerfully as Taka set her down.

"Are you really okay, Basa senpai? Your cheeks and eyes are a bit red.." Hikaru pointed out.

"My eyes are red? Oh no! Allergy?" She looked extremely anxious. "It doesn't look bad, does it? Do I look weird?!"

"N-Not at all!" Kaoru reassured her while elbowing his brother in the gut.

Takashi watched quietly as Carala returned to normal. She could stay as she wax now, but Tekila will come back and haunt her, and there will be nothing she can do about it.
