Mitsukuni was at the University Karate club, so Carala hung out with Takashi in case he was lonely.
"How are your online courses going?" Takashi asked.
"Same old, same old." Carala sighed. "I never knew political science would be this difficult."
"You want to become a lawyer, like Haruhi? Arguing with people must be fun." Takashi remarked. Carala shook her head.
"I want to be a judge, for criminal cases." She said.
"That can be dangerous." Takashi frowned.
"Hey, it's better than my first choice! I wanted to be an officer. In the military, but Haruhi talked me out of it." Carala flipped the page of the text book she was reading.
"You're going to die early if you did that." Takashi typed on his computer.
Carala stretched. "If it was hand to hand combat, I won't die."
Takashi snorted. "Yeah right. We're only top three in Japan, not the world. Mitsukuni might, though."
"Aww..it seems I never have any time for wushu anymore." Carala groaned, flopping her book down. Suddenly, an idea came to her.
"Hey Taka, for winter break, I wanna go back to Japan!" She told him brightly.
He sipped his tea. "We were there four months ago."
"But don't you want to visit Satoshi and Yasuchika?"
Silence.
"No..maybe." Takashi answered.
"We're going to Japan this winter break then!" Carala jumped up.
"I don't want to go." Takashi grumbled.
"So do I have to go by myself?" Carala asked in a small voice.
"That's not what I said, was it? If I let you go alone, you'll get lost in the airport and fly to Russia or something." Takashi smiled. "And I promised that I will always be by your side, right?" He kissed her cheek.
Carala's eyes widened. "Right!" She agreed happily.
It's a promise I won't break.
I'll always be by your side, no matter what.
End.
