Four years had passed since Carala Tsubasa was found. It took a year for her to recover her physical and mental stability.
She had been taken care of by Takashi's family, until she was recovered, and when they found out she knew a relative in Canada, she was sent to live with them, much to Takashi and Mitsukuni's displeasure. Carala had promised to visit them, and Mitsukuni had nodded, tears in his eyes. Takashi had only said it wouldn't be the same.
Now, because of certain circumstances involving some Canadian Forces soldier being deployed, which included one of her relatives, Carala found herself back in Japan, standing in front of a castle-looking school.
"It's a freaking-pink school." She muttered under her breath. "Were they drunk when they were planning this?" Taking a deep breath, she put on a cheerful smile as she pushed open the doors.
"Have you seen Takashi Morinozuka? Or Mitsukuni Haninozuka?" Carala politely asked a girl in a fancy pale yellow dress that almost made her gag.
"You mean Mori senpai and Honey senpai? They should be at the Host Club, in Music Room three." She told her.
Carala thanked her and ran down the hallways. Rich people hallways. Rich people hallways lines with expensive-looking red carpets.
Music room three. Why would there be a host club in a music room? Why would Taka and Mitsu go to a host club anyways? Carala wondered as she ran down the stairs and hallways.
She slowly opened the door and a bright light shone through. Carala squinted as a sweet smell-roses?- drifted into her nose. Thought it was hard to see because of the light, Carala could swear that there was rose petals floating in the air.
When the light had cleared and spots stopped floating around her vision, Carala she saw a huge room, and in front of her were six boys.
Correction. Six handsome boys.
"Welcome to the Host club!" They all said in unison, each one having a charming smile.
"A-Ah. I'm looking for Takashi Morinozuka and Mitsukuni Haninozuka." Carala stuttered, a bit surprised and, okay fine, flustered.
"Another fan girl?" A boy with orange hair said to his twin, who looked exactly like him. "That's unusual for them to come here, so late. We were just going to close up."
The tallest boy stepped towards her, looking down. "May I help you?" He asked in a deep voice.
Carala felt something inside her cry that he didn't recognize her, and she lowered her head, but she quickly smiled and raised it again.
Of course. It's almost more than four years. Of course he doesn't recognize me. We've all changed for the better. She thought.
To his surprise she stood on her toes to ruffle his hair. "Er, excuse me.." He muttered, drawing back in surprise.
"Taka! You've grown so much!" Carala smiled cheerfully as realization hit his face.
"..Cara-chan? Is that you?" He whispered in awe, picking her up from the ground.
"H-Hey! Put me down! Not fair, you're using your height as an advantage!" Carala cried.
A smile formed on Taka's lips as he set her on the ground and pulled her into a tight hug.
"Hey, Taka!" Carala complained. "You're- ack!" She cried in surprise as she fell someone pull her from behind.
"Cara!" Mitsu sobbed happily. "Welcome home!"
Carala patted his head. "Great to see you!"
"Excuse me if I'm interrupting." One of the orange haired twin's said. "But who are you?"
"Carala Tsubasa, only surviving Tsubasa from the unfortunate incident nearly four and a half years ago. Taken in by the Haninozuka and Morinozuka household for a year, then sent to Canada to train from her aunt, Miss Amy Kiminoke for three years. I see she has come back after Miss Kiminoke's boyfriend, Auden Akuma, was deployed to Iraq." A boy with glasses said in a dull voice, as if reading a phone book instead of the story of her life.
Carala slowly edged away from him. "Stalker."
"That's Kyoya Otori. The others are Tamaki Suou and Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin!" Mitsu introduced.
Carala saluted with her right hand casually. "Hi everyone! I'm Carala Tsubasa, and thank you for taking care of Taka chan and Mitsu chan for me!" She smiled a huge smile.
"It really was no problem!" The blond, Tamaki said energetically, rushing forward to hold her hands.
"Because it was more like Mori senpai was taking care of him." One of the Hitachiin brothers whispered loudly, though Carala pretended not to notice.
"Basa..." Tamaki had already thought of a new nickname for her. "Will you join the host club?"
"Host club's for boys, ain't it?" Carala slightly tilted her head to the side.
"Yes, but on occasion, a male guest does come." Kyoya pushed his glasses. "We should be prepared."
"But what type should she be?" The Hitachiin on the right asked.
"Cara chan's always so happy and cheerful! She should be a type that involves her personality!" Mitsu said.
"She seems cheerfully innocent then." Kyoya looked down at her through his glasses, while Carala slowly edged behind Taka.
"He scares me.." She whispered.
"I'm scary, eh? A bit of a scaredy cat for a sixteen year old girl." Kyoya pushed up his glasses.
"Sixteen years old? She's older than us by a year?" Tamaki cried. "She looks like she's in middle school!"
"Hey!" Carala complained. "I'm right here, you know!"
Takashi ruffled her hair. "There is nothing scary about Kyoya."
Carala edged out from behind him, but still a distance from the boy with the clipboard.
"She acts quite immature for her age, but she still seems to have a charming personality. Men seem to like girls they can talk easily to and feel they can protect." Kyoya tapped his clipboard.
"I don't need anyone to protect me." A sudden change of tone came from Carala as her eyes darkened, almost glaring at him.
Kyoya just smiled.
But Tamaki didn't seem to notice as he jumped up and hugged her. "Host club, get ready for our new member! Cheerfully innocent type, Basa senpai!"
