Chapter Nineteen: I'm Sorry

Her dress soaked up most of the blood, but Carala could feel it running down her back, not stopping.

She stayed in that position all night, her legs tightly hugged to her chest with her face in her arms.

Meanwhile, in the mansion, the Host club was almost worried out of their minds. Mori's face was filled with pure regret as he thought of what he had said without thinking.

"It's no use thinking." Kaoru said. "We'll find her in the morning."

"The rock." Honey suddenly said, and everybody turned to face him in surprise.

"She threw herself to the rock right? The rock was sharp. It must have opened the scar on her back." Honey continued.

Mori's eyes widened, but everybody was confused. "What scar?"

"That's for Cara chan to tell you. I'm disappointed in you, Takashi." Honey flicked his fingers at his forehead.

"You really hurt Cara chan."

Mori just lowered his head.

Time skip to morning-------------

"Basa senpai!" Tamaki called, walking towards the direction Carala had run off.

"Basa senpai, please come out! We're worried!" Haruhi shouted.

"Cara chan! Where are you?" Mitsu cried.

"Over here!" Kaoru suddenly shouted and ran through the woods.

"..Basa senpai?"

Carala was still sitting in that position, her back facing them, and now you could see the dried blood on her bright red sundress.

"...Carala?" Taka said softly, walking up to her and kneeling beside her. "Are you okay?"

"Not something to ask a 'murderer'. Just go away before I kill you." Carala said in a gruff voice, but you could hear her broken voice of someone who was really hurt.

"..Carala, I'm really sorry. You would never really hurt someone. You're our sweet Cara chan."

Carala slowly looked up. It was easy to tell she had been crying.

Taka hugged her. Her skin was as cold as ice. She had been sitting in the rain, after all.

"Taka..?" Carala said slowly. "Sorry."

"It's okay." Taka said, helping her up.

Suddenly, Carala clenched her teeth as her vision grew blurry and she fell back down.

"Senpai? Basa senpai!" Haruhi shouted.

"Blood loss. She's been bleeding overnight." Kyoya said in a worried tone.

"Carala!" Taka shook her, but slowly, Carala fell unconscious.

"Mom! Mom, big brother's home!" Carala shouted, running up to her.

For some reason, Carala's mother had a frozen look in her eyes, then smiled.

"Caden's finally home, huh? Maybe he brought back a girl. He is 27 now." She joked, and Carala laughed.

"Well, let's go greet him. You stay here." Carala's mother got up and went downstairs.

Suddenly, she screamed.

And a pool of red appeared before her eyes.

"Ugh.." Carala groaned as she opened her eyes.

She let out a yelp of surprise, as the whole host club was leaning towards her.

"Basa senpai! You're awake!" Kaoru cried, hugging her. Mitsu was already hugging her tightly.

"Yup! Sorry for being a bother." Carala's eyes trailed to Taka.

"..Welcome back." He stood up and ruffled her hair.

"Hah, thanks."

Hikaru opened his mouth hesitantly. "Basa senpai..why do you live with Mori senpai?"

"Cause I burned down mins and decided to barge into his house." Carala told him.

"No, not that. Where are your parents?"

Carala froze.

"They're..they're..d-d.." Carala's voice was shaking.

"They're on the other side now." Mitsu finished for her sadly. "They were..assassinated..five years ago.."

"Ah..I'm sorry for asking." Hikaru quickly said.

"No no, it's fine. It was a long time ago." Carala forced a smile. "Now I have Taka kun and Mitsu chan and all you guys! You can be my family!"
