Sorry for this. My mind started thinking of lore ideas, so a lot of it is just Doctor Terence explaining exposition.

Isaiah's POV

I walk back to the bed, just getting off the phone with my beta about me taking a couple of days off to deal with the business of me mating Mark. He's beautiful as he sleeps and I could watch him all day, but then he stirs and pulls me into his solid chest. I nuzzle him lovingly, earning myself a chuckle as we just enjoy each other's presence. I wanted to make sure that as he and I enjoy each other, they go on to doing the preparations to inaugurate Mark for Luna if our pack. Or whatever the term is for a male Luna.

After a bit of fooling around that left me with a smirk and Mark walking funny and a flush on his face, we head to his parents apartment, where my mom and dad will meet us to talk it over about him being the next in line for Luna, as well as fill in his visiting brother on the details surrounding his brothers return to mental form. His brother has been out in college throughout these years and when I called him to give him the news, he was still in school, but said that once things die down a bit, he will visit.

With a wince and waddled he complains, "Knew I shouldn't have let you top me this morning. I was still sore from last night."

"Aw, you poor baby. Don't worry. I promise never top you again."

"You want me to top you?" He says surprised.

"Oh no, we just won't have sex. We could simply be celibates together."

"I, Marcus Romane, reje-"

"Shut up!" I say laughing and he breaks from his serious face to a laughing one. We make it to the apartment and we are bombarded with questions from both sets of parents and the college man. The look of pride on Marks face was heart-warming. Dinner conversations were no different, but one question really sent everything to a complete halt.

"So, which of you plan on carrying your children?", asked Doctor Terrence with a completely straight face. Dead silence enveloped the room. My poor mates face was horrified and mine is beet red. My parents look intrigued and embarrassed for me. Thanks guys. Meanwhile, the brother is smiling like the best he is. Laugh it up, buddy. You're next once you find yours.

"Terrence! That is not appropriate dinner conversation!" His wife scolds.

"It's not appropriate conversation, period! Dad, we aren't in the doctors office getting a check up! And even if we were, none of them would be in the room! Just me my mate and the doctor!" He yells.

"And by doctor you-"

"No, dad! I don't mean you. You'd be compromised given I'm your son." He gives his dad an annoyed look.

"So, it would be you getting pregnant?"

"No, I mean, ugh! It would be your grandchild, so you'd be compromised whether it is me or Isaiah!" I'm pretty sure his dad being compromised is one of the last things to worry about when it comes to being our gynecologist. That thought makes me shiver in a bad way. It was fine before I was involved with Mark, but now it's just awkward.

"I understand son. And forgive my blunt approach, it was inconsiderate of me for everyone. BUT I want you to answer the question."

"Dad!"

"Uh-Uh, no. This is important son. It is important to know who carries your child because it gets complicated if it isn't you carrying it! Do you remember your biology on us shifters? Why Omega are not the only baby carriers but are the preferred?"

"Uh, w-well, I, uh-"

"Very well. Then everyone to the living room. Time for a biology lesson. Trust me, this is an important issue."
