Friday Afternoon

It’s Alex eighteenth birthday and after a non eventful day at school he was at his house, lying in bed, trying to calm his nerves. He hadn’t got any messages from the man yet, and he started worrying about it. The man may ending up breaking his heart, standing Alex up at that mysterious meeting place. He could only hope he wouldn’t.

The doorbell rang shaking off Alex’s maze of thoughts. He ran downstairs to answer it, and it was the mailman with a huge bouquet of red roses. Apparently he was promoted, from white to red roses, which made him smile. With the bouquet there was this small box and a card. He opened the box and there was a gold heart-shaped guitar pick with the following engraving in the back “To my sweet golden boy” and at the front “I want you”.  That was so beautiful and special and that also must have costed the man a small fortune. What he had ever done to deserve that man?  Alex thought.

He opened the card, and the card surprisingly didn't have a message. Just an "X Thebadthing". Why no message?

Alex ran to the kitchen and put the roses in a vase with water. He then ran to his room to message the man.

GoodBoy0601: Sir, thank you so much for the presents, I love it.
Thebadthing: Hi baby, Happy Birthday! Did you really like it?
GoodBoy0601: Yes, I love the red roses, and oh my god sir that guitar pick!
GoodBoy0601: You know me so well sir…but I hope it didn’t cost you way too much, I wouldn’t forgive myself.
Thebadthing: Get use to it Sweetheart. I would give you the moon if I had access to it.

The boy smiled. He had always liked the moon.

GoodBoy0601: Sir, why is there nothing written in the card?
Thebadthing: Because today is the beginning of our story, and this story is absolutely up to you.
Thebadthing: You're taking me on this journey into the unknown.
Thebadthing: And you are welcome to fill the card with our future, if you want one.

Alex grabbed the card, wrote something on it, took a photo with his phone and sent the man.

GoodBoy0601 Sent you a photo.
<< The man facing his computer read “Forever" in the card and sadly smiled.>>

Thebadthing: I’ll see you soon, love.
GoodBoy0601: I’m looking forward to it sir.

Alex grabbed his guitar, and played with his new pick. It sounded marvellous. It sounded like true happiness.

After playing for the rest of the day, It was getting late. The day light which had been elongated unnaturally on a January day now seemed to have finally come to an end. And Alex could dress up and head to the beginning of their stories.

At eight o’clock precisely Alex stood in front of the meeting place, nervously fidgeting with his blazer. Letters stamped the name of the restaurant in black “The Blind Taste”. Certainly an interesting name for a restaurant, he thought. The facade all in grey. The windows had the glass covered in some type of material one couldn’t see through. It looked romantic, that Alex couldn’t deny it.

Alex was anxious, how wouldn’t he? He walked slowly to the entrance opening the door to a small lit room. A guy greeted him cheerfully.

"Hi sir, welcome to The Blind Taste, how can I help you this evening.”

“Eh, I-I h-have a date…H-he is waiting for me. Me name is A-Alex, Alex Turner.” He stuttered.

“Ahh!” The man answered in realisation “Mr K. is waiting for you.”

Mr. K? So he still wasn’t allowed to know his name. Mr. K…Alex smiled in silence, that’s exciting. Well, at least the man wasn’t just “The man” anymore, he now was Mr. K.

“Mr. Turner, you will have to leave your phone with us before going in.” The receptionist asked showing his hand, waiting for Alex phone. Alex was puzzled but handed his phone to the guy anyway. Realising his confusion, the receptionist cleared things out “We want people to pay attention to the food and to their company, not to their phones.” Alex smiled. The man wanted his full attention, and he would have his full attention in return. To be honest Alex couldn’t care less about his phone once he was about to be with the man.

A man who was probably in his mid thirties showed up at the door which Alex assumed was the entrance to the restaurant saloon. Alex could tell by his eyes that the man was blind. That was so cool, he thought, they had blind people working for them. The name of the restaurant suddenly made sense.

“Now Mr. Turner, this is John. John is gonna be your waiter for the night, you may follow him.” The receptionist grabbed Alex’s hands and brought it to Johns shoulders.

The man chose a restaurant that employs blind people. That made him love Mr. K even more if possible.

“Enjoy your dinner.” The receptionist said, and Alex immediately stepped into a completely dark room.

“What the fuck!” Alex exclaimed, his voice echoed in the silent room.

“Mr. Turner, we will be at your booth in a minute. Just relax and enjoy your experience.” John said reassuring Alex.

“Is that really a restaurant?” Alex asked.

“I see your confusion. Hasn’t Mr. K let you know this is a ‘eat in the dark’ type of restaurant?” John asked.

Alex sighed “He certainly did not.”

Alex thought for a second, while he was being led to his booth. Maybe Mr. K was scared because he is blind himself and that was the way he chose to tell him. Maybe all the times he asked to see him was just a disguise. Maybe he has never seen Alex, that’s why he told him he wanted to 'feel' him.

“We are here.” John grabbed Alex’s hand and guided him to his seat. He sat in what felt like a couch. He moved sidewards until he realised, he wasn’t alone here, there was someone sitting  right next to him on the couch, instead of across him. The smell of the man was stronger than ever, overpowering Alex’s senses. The same cologne that was put in his stuffed monkey surrounded Alex and the booth that smelled heavenly.

“I'm gonna leave you two to talk for a moment, I’ll be back with your drinks.” John said leaving the room.

Mr. K. chose a private booth instead of a regular table, he wanted the privatest place there was in the restaurant.

Silence kept creeping in the room during a moment that no one dared to speak, until a small but deep voice finally spoke.

“Sir…” Alex whispered. His heart beating uncontrollably fast.

“I'm here.” Mr. K whispered back, doing his best to disguise his high-pitched voice, making it more deeper. All those years imitating other people’s voices to be funny were finally paying off.

“That's not what we agreed on. Why can I still not see you?” Alex asked still not able to overcome the fact that the man’s voice was inebriating. His way of speaking melted him like butter in the desert.

The man cleared his throat and said. “You can see me after dinner. For now, I want us to enjoy this moment.” The man needed that moment. It could be the last one, and he was fully aware of that, although his hopes were high on the reliance that Alex would love him enough to stay. He couldn’t afford to lose him. He knew by now that he would go mad.

“Y-You a-are a scouser, sir.“ Alex pointed out. The man could disguise his voice, but couldn’t disguise his accent.

“Yes, I am.” He confirmed. There was no point in denying the obvious.

That made Alex instantly think about Mr. Kane. Mr. Kane was a scouser as well, but their voices were not the same. He thought that the awful coincidence was way too uncanny. Mr. K could easily be Mr. Kane. But no, no, that wasn’t possible right? That would be crazy. The man told him just yesterday that they were not the same person. Alex shook his thoughts off of his head. He must trust his boyfriend, if he said he is not Mr. Kane, then he isn’t Mr. Kane.

“M-may I touch you sir?“ Alex said, following the man's voice, feeling the couch trying to reach him.

“Yes…” The man answered.

Alex lifted one of his hands up to the air which was soon grabbed gently by the man, giving Alex a shiver down the spine. He knew in that moment that he was doomed. He couldn’t lie, the dark was making everything ten times better, even though he bet everything was going to be amazing anyhow. All of his senses were enhanced by just the lack of light.

Alex fumbled with the man’s hands between his own. The man had soft hands, which he felt slowly, slender finger by slender finger. He travelled his knuckles softly and each one of his finger joints. He felt the cold metal of his rings, which he thought were alluring. Who on earth could have such perfect hands? A guitarist, Alex thought.

He brought the man’s hands to his chapped lips, kissing each part of them unhurriedly. As for the man he couldn’t suppress the small whimpers, making Alex feel all of them like little stings in his stomach. The boy took a deep breath only to place a final kiss in each one of his palms making the man shiver at the contact. Sensing the man’s reaction, the boy slid one of the man’s finger into his mouth and sucked it lightly, licking it slowly from top to bottom, then bottom to top.

That was the most erotic thing Alex had ever done, and the man could have unquestionably said the same, despite his age and experience.

“Oh God…” The man moaned. His voice sounding way too familiar to Alex, but then again Alex heard it before, when he was drunk. Maybe being with him now was bringing all back.

“Sir…” Alex whispered “Why don’t you want me to see you just yet? Why waiting until the end of the dinner is gonna make any difference?”

“Because…I think…y-you…might not want to be with me when you see who I am. I w-want to savour this moment and cherish it while it lasts…” He sighed helpless.

“Sir, that’s impossible.” Alex answered adamant.

“Is it?” The man whispered back.

“You could be the devil himself by now. I would adore you regardless.” Alex said letting out a soft chuckle, thinking the man is solely afraid Alex won’t like the way he looks.

“Oh, baby boy…I wished that was true.” The man leaned closer to Alex, ready to leave a kiss on his delicate lips whenever he was be able to find them, but John had got to their booth with the drinks.

"So, at your right you can find your whine glass, and at its left you can find your water glass. I want you to slide your hands slowly on the table so you can feel where your cups are.” They both did what they were requested to do, and waited for more instructions. “Now, at your left you’ll find your forks, the first one to the left is the one for the salad, and the second is for the main dish. At your right the knife in the left is for your salad, and the second for the main. Finally, in your left at the front you can find the dessert fork and spoon. Napkins are underneath the salad and meat forks.” Wow, that sounded confusing for Alex, but soon enough he was enjoying the experience. He was able to locate almost everything, and when he didn’t his boyfriend helped him. They already behaved like a couple, and that made Alex very happy.
“I'm gonna leave your water and wine in your right, you can serve yourselves. I’ll be back with your starters.” With that the waiter vanished, at least Alex couldn’t feel his presence anymore.

“Sir…” Alex called.

“Yes baby.” Mr K. answered.

“Are you blind?” Alex asked.

Mr. K. giggled “No Alex, I’m not blind."

“I'd be ok with that, 'tha knows? You can tell me anything, I told you I won't leave you.” Alex said nicely.

“I'm not blind Alex, and I’m also not sure if I can tell you anything like you imply.” Mr. K. said sternly.

“Why?” The boy asked.

“You're so inquisitive baby boy. So curious. Good things come for those who wait, you know?” Mr. K. said trying to put the subject to rest.

“I'm sorry sir, you are worth it.” Alex said giving up…for now.

The man slid his hand on Alex's thigh, earning a shiver from the boy. Mr. K. smiled in realisation. He liked the effect he had on the boy, the way he kept quivering at his touch. Mr. K. wanted to give him amazing experiences in life, just like this one.

“Are we having wine sir?” Alex asked.

“It's your birthday and we are celebrating, of course we’re having wine.” Mr. K answered.

“I thought you would say drinking is bad for me.” Alex said sheepishly.

“Drinking is bad for you when you drink too much, but you are with me now and I allow you to have one glass of wine.” The man was in control and Alex liked giving up control and being told what to do. The man served both of them wine, and they attempted to toast with the glasses in hands what could have caused some spilling in the dark, but they were in sync. It was almost like their hands knew where to find the other and how delicately they should move to not break the glasses.

As their glasses met, the man toasted “To the most beautiful, smart, special boy I’ve ever met, who I’m lucky enough to call mine." He sighed "For now…” And then whispered close to Alex ear. “I hope he knows how happy he makes me.” Alex felt the man’s warm breath in his neck. He could feel the blushing getting to his face and another shivering travelling his spine. Luckily the blushing wasn’t noticeable in completely darkness.

“Here are your starters.” John said, back with their first dish. They had no idea what was being served, the only way of knowing was trying. Just like their relationship, the food was fresh and exciting. The better thing to do was to take a leap of faith.

John left leaving them to eat their starters. “Go ahead baby, taste it.” Mr. K said touching Alex’s hand slightly to encourage him.

“I have never eaten anything without knowing what it actually was.” It was odd. How could he trust the cook enough. Well, he trusted a total stranger that he called boyfriend to bring him here, now there was no turning back.

“Just do it baby, you won’t regret it. Some things are scary, and new, and we are afraid of doing, but they may be the best we have ever had. Trust me.” Mr. K. hold Alex’s hand reassuring him. He knew the boy needed guidance and he was here to provide it.

“I trust you…” Alex whispered and took the first bite to his mouth. All of these flavours started exploding in his tongue, making the boy whimper in pleasure. “Mmmm, this is so good Sir.”

“It is. Can you tell what’s on it?” Mr. K. asked happily at the boy’s excitement.

“I can taste mushrooms. But there’s summat else that I’ve never tasted before, and it’s the best thing I’ve ever tasted. You were right sir.” Alex said with a smile that couldn’t be seen but was felt by the man.

“I’m always right Alex.” He laughed, making Alex senses pointed out that also that laugh was way too familiar and also so good to listen to. ”Those are truffles, there’s nothing like it. I can always tell them from anything else. They are very sophisticated.” Alex thought the man was so interesting and knew so much. So charming, endearing…

Alex ate it all, faster than he thought was possible. The man tasted everything slowly until his plate was also clean.
John, soon after they’d finished their starters, came into the room with the main dishes. “Gentlemen, here are your mains. Cheers.”

They both said ‘Cheers’ in response and ate the food quietly, appreciating every little flavour and aroma, and each other’s company. Their legs always touching under the table, his hands sometimes brushing with feather-like touches.

“Sir, I must say this has been so unique. I’m so happy I’m here with you, I finally feel…” He sighed and paused for a moment, not believing his good luck “…complete.” His heart flipping on passion and fervour.

“Baby boy…I feel complete now too.” Mr.K. said in a small voice. ” You are everything I’ve asked for…You’re the best thing that have ever happened to me.” That made Alex stomach churns. That must be love.

They finished eating and as the dinner was a three course one, they had only dessert left.

“Gentlemen, here are your desserts. Enjoy!” John said bringing their desserts and soon leaving again. By now Alex could tell that John wasn’t really in the room. The darkness was teaching him lessons that he surely appreciated.

“Aren’t you gonna eat baby?” Mr. K. asked after feeling Alex wasn’t really moving anymore.

“Eh..Sir…I don’t like sweets that much. How about you?” Alex asked in return.

“I love sweets baby boy, even the ones that are pure sugar.” He laughed.

“Maybe you should eat mine too, and I should…t-taste it…d-directly from your mouth.” Alex couldn’t think about anything else, he wanted to kiss the man, his heart was drumming like crazy…He had waited long enough.

“I thought you would never ask…” Mr. K. answered without pondering much, he wanted the same thing.

Mr. K. took a good bite of the dessert tasting all the delicious flavours there were in there. “Mmmm, this is so good Alex, so good. You really need to taste it.”

“May I touch your face sir?” Alex asked moving closer to the man. “I want to feel who I’m kissing.”

“Yes baby, you may.” Mr. K. answered lacking his usual confidence, waiting for a disaster. If Alex wasn’t so naive he would have figured everything out by now.

Alex travelled the man’s body with his hands, going from his stomach up to his chest. The man felt gorgeously on Alex’s hands. He was skinny yet toned. Alex could feel all the muscles variations of his six pack, what made him think himself as inadequate but yet horny to no precedents. He moaned at the feeling and kept going up to his strong shoulders and then to his hair, which he dug with his fingers momentarily. He then went down and stopped at his face, gentling moving his thumbs on Mr. K.’s cheeks. Mr. K. moaned softly while Alex breath got heavier and closer to his skin.

“You don’t have two heads sir.” He pointed out laughing, making the man laugh as well.

“I don’t, just one.” He answered shortly, way too deep in the feelings to think properly.

Alex’s fingers kept exploring the man’s face, travelling his eyelids, nose and lips. “Your lips sir, they are so beautiful. I could ‘look’ at them forever.” He kept stroking the man’s lips gently, going all the way around it with his fingers. “Close your eyes.” Alex asked, what did not make any sense in the dark, but Mr. K. obeyed anyway. Alex leaned closer and gave each one of his eye lids one soft kiss, almost like a brushing. The man felt loved, and that was a first.

Although Mr. K. was clearly the most dominant, Alex had no idea how much power he had over him, he had absolutely no idea.

“Now, dessert…” Alex said placing his lips hesitantly on Mr. K. lips, breathing in slowly all the scents of the man’s mouth while their lips were getting wetter and redder by the friction of the kiss. The feeling of their lips pressing together was intoxicating, their bodies felt entirely in shock in response. Mr. K. quickly brought the boy to his embrace and presented him his tongue so the boy could suck it and taste the sweet from it. Alex gasped at the feeling of their tongues meeting. “Chocolate” He said into the man’s mouth. “Raspberry” He panted sucking the tongue more strongly. “Love" Did he just say ‘love'? Well, nothing really mattered anymore at the moment, the kiss was perfection. Nothing had ever felt so good like this to any one of them.

There was no battle of tongues whatsoever, the synchronisation and connection extended to the kiss and as the kiss got heater and heater, hands were travelling everywhere. Alex’s hands found their place on the man’s chest and the man couldn’t resist the boy’s hair and butt, having one hand in each one of those places. Alex's butt was being grabbed desperately, while his hair was being sensually tugged.

The man detoured from Alex’s lips to attack his neck with kisses and delicate bites making the boy quiver. “Mark me sir.” He asked whimpering, getting immediately a sucking so strong from the man, that would make any hickeys blush. “Mm, you are mine baby boy! Only mine!” The man stated.

“Mmm…I-I’m y-yours…s-sir…please…t-take m-me.” Alex whispered submissively with his voice breaking in emotion.

The man let out a dissatisfaction sound. “Not here, not now Aly.” The man whispered trying to compose himself, feeling his jeans so tight that they could end up ripping at any moment. Mr. K. knew that he may not have Alex consent once they step out of that room, but he wouldn’t do anything beyond making out until they do meet face to face.

“So let’s go somewhere else…so you can take me sir.” The boy replied jumping to the man’s lap, who appreciated his eagerness and hold him tight kissing him passionately. Alex couldn’t ignore the feeling of belonging to those arms. That felt so right…When did he feel that before? He did feel that before…

“Oh God…yes…please…” Mr. K. moaned, without breaking the kiss, at that thought of finally having Alex for himself and in an intimate way he didn’t think was possible before, but the feelings he was experiencing were so strong and dominant that made him drop the act completely. His voice was completely back and as plain as it could be. “Oh Aly…” He moaned in the boy’s ear.

The boy promptly moaned back into his mouth ardently, having lost all of his thinking capacity, just utterly drunk in the infatuation. “Oh…M-Miles…”

What did he just say? That made Mr. K. pull away from the kiss immediately.

“What did you just call me?” Was it possible that Alex knew that was him all along. Was he finally free of that secret he couldn’t bare keeping any longer?

“Oh me God! I’m so sorry, I don’t know what came to me sir…” The boy said embarrassed. “M-Miles is…m-me…m-me teacher. That was awful, I’m so sorry sir.”

The man kept in silence for a long time. They both did.

“Would it be that bad…Alex? I mean…If I were him…” The man said hesitantly in a small voice.

Everything came rushing back to Alex’s mind, every conversation he had with the man, and every conversation and interaction he had with Mr. Kane.

“That would be fucked up, sir.” His voice was deeper than ever and the kissing moment was long gone, the only thing that hovered Alex’s head was doubt and the only thing that hovered Miles’ head was panic.

“Alex…” Miles said in his own voice again, his heart on the verge of dying. “Please don’t leave me.”

A loud sob could be heard in the small room followed by a line of shouting. “John! John! John! John!” Tears rolled Alex’s cheeks soaking his shirt while he screamed for John to save him. “Guide me out, John! Guide me out! Please!!”

“Aly, please don’t cry love, please…please don’t.” Miles begged. “I’m still the same person.” Miles couldn’t find Alex in the dark anymore. He felt John’s getting to the booth really quickly though.

“Mr. Turner, calm down. I’ll guide you out.” John reaches for Alex’s hand, which he was able to find easily being blind and accustomed to the dark.

“John, don’t leave without me.” Miles demanded.

“John, guide me out first.” Alex demanded harder.

“I can guide both of you.” John grabbed both their hands, each one in one of his hands and led them to the lit room.

They stepped outside and Alex first instinct was to run, but everything was so bright, none of them could open their eyes at first.

“I'm out of here!” Alex said, but was soon grabbed by the receptionist. “Sir, you can’t go out until your eyes get use to the light again. And please don’t forget your phone.” The man placed Alex’s phone on his hand. “Thank you" he muttered but stumbled out anyway.

The receptionist gave Miles his phone swiftly. Luckily enough that was a pre-paid dinner, so he was free to chase Alex.

Miles opened the door and spotted the boy, who was walking slowly still not trusting his feet and eyes.

“Alex please wait!” Miles shouted.

Alex turned to face Miles. “For what? This is so screwed up. I can’t believe what you’ve done to me.” The boy couldn’t stop crying, his heart was shattered.

“Sweetheart, what I ever done to you?” Miles said in a sweet tone.

“Don't call me that! You don’t have the right.” Alex said. The response not being the one expected by Miles.

“I'm your boyfriend.” Miles tried to appeal to Alex’s sense of commitment.

“Don't play the boyfriend card, I’m not your boyfriend anymore. Both us know I should have known better.” Alex sobbed.

“You knew you were kissing me in there, you moaned me name…not me nickname.” Miles said desperately. Alex knew, didn’t he? He felt it was Miles in there, he was really enjoying.

“I didn’t know it was you, me unconscious knew, me conscious self didn’t. I’m so fucking confused and that’s all your fault.” The boy said pointing fingers at Miles, angry and feeling used.

“Alex…” Miles said softly in a pleading voice.

Now able to really see everything again, Alex could finally look at Miles’ eyes. He needed to look into his eyes to say what he was about to say. “You’ve been lying to me since the day you stepped in that classroom and saw I was the boy you were chatting with.” For a moment Alex stopped crying, he hated being lied to and that only made him angry.

“What could I have done? Look how you’re reacting now, I couldn’t tell you the truth baby…” Miles hated lying to Alex, it was the most unnatural thing. It truly hurt him.

“You could've, and you should’ve. Better, you should have stopped any contact you had with me, but instead you kept pushing all me buttons, making me more and more attached to you. You knew it was wrong.” Alex had a point. Miles could have stopped the nonsense but he insisted.

“I’ve tried, I’ve tried so hard, but I couldn’t. Day after day I wanted you more and more. I couldn’t stop, you’re so addictive baby…look at you.” Miles pointed at Alex, who normally is stunning, but that day was even more. That navy blue suit couldn’t be more perfect on him, it was like it had never been Jamie’s. Not to mention his intelligence, sweetness, uniqueness, and the other tons of qualities Miles could keep listing forever.

“I don’t care what you have to say. You’ve manipulated me. You had the leverage almost since day one.” Alex stopped and his eyes filled with tears again. “While you say you wanted me more day after day, I was fighting the feelings I had for me own teacher. You!” He pointed his index finger at Miles. “You, yourself told me that me teacher wouldn’t want anything more than friendship with me, that he wouldn’t do that.” Miles was a liar. Alex gave him his heart trustingly, what had he got in return?

“I couldn’t say anything different than that, you were a minor, I’m your teacher. I just wanted you baby…So bad.” Although Miles was dropping no tears, he let out what sounded like a small sob, but Alex wasn’t touched or impressed. He was just plain embarrassed and mad.

Alex’s mind was flooded with all these memories of what he had done with Miles not knowing who he actually was. “God…I’ve done things with you…I haven’t ever done with anyone else. That’s beyond embarrassing and completely inappropriate.”

“And I’m glad you did those things with me.” Miles said promptly.

“You’re glad? That was so fucking wrong! You were supposed to protect me and not abuse me.” Alex said.

Please Alex stop, you’re are going way too far.

“How many? How many more Miles?” Alex asked.

“How many what?" He asked confused for a moment, but soon realising what Alex was implying. "What are you suggesting?” He asked sternly.

“How many other boys, or girls have you done before me? Or at the same time as me?” Alex asked, suddenly hit by jealousy and heartbreak. All the boys and girls that must have touched Miles before him, drinking on his kisses, getting his love bites, getting his attention…everything was bothering Alex so much, but he knew he shouldn’t let the feelings get the best of him. He needed to be logical and grounded for a change.

“It has only been you. I’ve never felt like this with anyone else but you.” He said sincerely, begging for Alex to believe him.

“How am I suppose to believe that now? How?” He cried looking down to the sidewalk. “I can’t even trust me own feelings, I don’t know if they are real, or if they are fabricated. I’m so confused…” Alex looked up back into Miles piercing brown eyes.

Miles looked so good. He was wearing a light blue suit with a white shirt. It was cold, he didn’t even have a coat with him. Alex wanted to warm him up with his bare skin, he felt like snogging him for his own life. He wanted to smother him in wet hot kisses…He already longed for Miles touch, he desired for him to take him…at the same time he was scared, and he wanted to run. Was it really fair to him that Miles was so gorgeous? Would it be easier if he wasn’t? Maybe not, nothing could make any of this easier. That thin line between love and hate had already been crossed.

“Al…please…give me a chance. With time I’ll prove to you, that the only thing I ever wanted was to love you and care for you, and make you happy.” He smiles awkwardly at his own words, not concealing his pain. ” If you don’t trust your own feelings right now, you can just trust mine. I promise.” Miles reached for Alex’s wrist, feeling his insane pulse and caressing his warm skin. For some reason Alex let it, and the gesture almost made Alex calm down…but it didn't.

“How would I trust you? You’d seen me crying because of you and you’d comforted me like if it hadn’t been you the reason for me tears in the first place. All those unfair punishments…” He shook his head. "I’ve never lied to you, I’ve been nothing but honest with you, and you haven’t played by your own rules. You kept me in the dark all this time, and ten minutes ago…you were keeping me in the dark literally for God’s sake.” The boy wept.

Miles couldn’t stand the sight of the boy crying, that caused him more pain than he could make sense of.

“Al…you said in there that I could be the devil himself, you said yourself you wouldn’t leave me. Am I worse than the devil himself to you? Is that what you think of me?” Miles face couldn’t hide the distress. Was that what Alex thought of him?

For the devil he looked so angelic. He was light…Alex was surprised he didn’t glow in the dark. So beautiful…But isn’t that how the devil should look like? Beautiful like an angel who just happened to be fallen. How the devil is supposed to lure his victims if not with his incredible appearance and irresistible magnetism.

Alex thought for a while, and concluded. “You're worse, no wonders you call yourself the bad thing. You are…” Alex said angrily, pulling his arm away, but his sentence was interrupted by Miles.

“Alex…” Miles said opening his hands and slowly moving them up and down, gesturing to calm Alex down. ”Please…baby…don’t say things you can’t take back. You may regret it.” Miles alerted him, quivering in cold and fear. Fear of losing Alex for good, because words can’t be taken back.

“You're a creep pervert. That’s what you are” Alex shouted. The words hit Miles hard making him wince. “And you know what good boys don’t do?" Alex paused and looked right into Miles’ eyes, saying the most hurtful thing he could ever vocalise. "They don’t shag their teachers!”

“Alex…please…” Miles wheezed, holding back the tears that were lingering in his eyes for the whole duration of the fight.  “I'm so in love with you.” Miles said, feeling pathetic and helpless, but if these words didn’t get Alex to stay, nothing else would.

“I don’t wanna see you, or hear from you ever again.” And with that Alex turned and ran, leaving Miles to sit down on the curb, not fighting the tears anymore, but fighting his own lungs.

Alex reached the end of the road, grabbed his phone and called Matt.

“Come pick me up. Please!” He sobbed. “I'll text you the address.”

Miles, who was still sat in front of the restaurant, soaked in tears and despair, struggled to breathe.
