Its Time

PAIGE:

I had two choices.

The one Stephanie McMahon preferred, and for good reason - get the surgery done now, let someone else go in your place. If they win, you still get the belt.

The other option - fight at Night of Champions and postpone the surgery till Wednesday.

Randy, Leati, Brie, Nikki, Renee, Tenille, AJ, Summer, Glenn and Jon all preferred option 1, but I felt if I let someone go in my place and they win and I still get the belt, that it would be cheating because I wasn't physically there.

But if I did option 2, I could get more injured and my career could be over.

It was a tough decision but I knew which one I was going to do.

I walk up to Brie, pulling her aside.

"I've made my choice."

"Alright, what is it?"

"I'm doing the surgery, but I want you to go and replace me. I trust you. Please?" Brie looks over at Eva and Naomi, who were looking this way.

"Paige, there are other divas who deserve to be in this match in your place. Not me."

"Natalya? Alicia? I don't trust them, Brie. Not exactly. I trust you. You're like my sister, please Brie. I wouldn't ask anything else of you." She sighs.

"Fine, but only because you're like my sister. Nothing else."

"If you win, you get all credit."

"Thank you, Paige." I give her a hug and pat her on the backside as she makes her way to ringside to battle Cameron.

She gives me a shocked look but smiles and walks off. I look back to Eva and Naomi, giving them a curt nod as I make my way to Randy's locker room to watch this match with him.

I walk out with Brie and Nikki until Randy walks up to us.

"Hey girls. Paige, I was wondering if you wanted to go see a movie with me?"

"Sure, sounds good," I look at Brie and give her a kiss on the cheek, and then to Nikki, "see you girls later!" They wave and I get into Randy's car.

We drive to the nearest cinema and decided to watch Dolphin Tale 2. Because I have watched Dolphin Tale 1 and I cried so why not, right?

I take a deep breath as I am wheeled through the doors of the hospital room where they were going to do surgery on me.

I give one last look to Randy before I go under. He gives me a smile and Brie blows me a kiss. I could feel tears streaming down my face as Brie wipes at her eyes. Nikki wraps an arm around Brie and looks at me, a sorrowful look on her face. AJ, Emma, Renee, Summer and the rest of the Superstars I had grown close to were there. Each a sorrowful look on their face.

I lay my head back down on the pillow and wipe at me cheeks which were streaked with tears.

"It's gonna be alright, Miss Bevis." I nod and they slip the oxygen mask over my mouth and nose. I breath in and slowly succumb to unconsciousness.
