Matt Pike left Adam's house for the final time, having just destroyed his friendship by revealing Dawn's plan to him. He'd broken Adam's heart by getting the other man to fall in love with him under false pretenses. Matt considered himself straight, but a part of him really liked being with Adam. Their entire time together, Adam had treated him with nothing but love and respect, and Matt responded by deceiving and leading Adam toward a trap.

As he got into his car and drove down the street, a single tear fell down his face as he saw the house disappear in the rear view mirror.

"I'm sorry, Adam," Matt said. "Maybe someday you can forgive me."

Now

Having just snuck into the walled off town of the destroyed Lawrence, Kansas, Asher and Matt were looking for Sheriff Lucas Barr, who had risked his life to get as many people out of the town as he could, including his fiancee Ritchie. It was Ritchie who send Asher and Matt in to bring him back, in exchange for his help in tracking down Lucifer.

"You okay? You're sweating," Asher told him as they snuck up the street. "You're not scared, are you?"

"It's not that," Matt told him. "Something about this place, I feel weird. Well, weirder. It's almost as if there were a full moon out."

"It's not even noon yet," Asher told him. "Let's just find Lucas and get the hell out of here."

As the two walked along, they were unaware of the demons and monsters following them...

A.J. woke up on the truckbed, yawning as he stretched and rubbed his eyes.

"Morning, sleepyhead," Ritchie said as he turned around from the passenger seat of the truck. "How are you feeling?"

"I gotta pee real bad," A.J. told him. "Where's the bathroom?"

"There," Ritchie said as he pointed to a grove of trees. "Take your pick."

"Cool," A.J. said as he turned back to look at Ritchie. "Oh, one question: Who the heck are you?"

"Your babysitter," Ritchie told him. "Until your Dad gets back."

"He's not my Dad," A.J. said as he lifted his shirt, revealing he had no bellybutton. "I don't have a Dad. Or a Mom. Those are things that the guy I was cloned from had, don't think he'd appreciate me claiming his stuff as my own."

"I'm sure that's not true," Ritchie told him as he saw A.J. doing a little dance. "Go on before you wet your pants, there's no change of clothes out here."

A.J. dashed to the forest as fast as he could to relieve himself. As he found the right tree, he started remembering the day he realized he really wasn't special...

"He has to be destroyed," Nana Styne ordered her granddaughter Kate. "I thought he could be salvaged, but there isn't a spec of evil in him. Someone tampered with the cloning process to make sure he wouldn't turn out to be like us."

"He's still Adam," Kate said. "He's still a piece of my son."

"Which is why he has to die," Nana informed her. "Cloning Adam again was a mistake. The only clone to turn out right was killed, and even then he was already turning on us. Adam's Winchester blood is tainted, we'll never get a proper clone of him."

"Why don't we just send A.J. to live with Adam?" Kate suggested. "It seems like such a waste."

"Yes, let's give Adam the weapon we were planning to kill him with," Nana told her. "Destroy the boy and be grateful that I allow Adam to live. Now give Nana a kiss."
