NATE wasn't an anti-social teen like his cousin Hope Mikaelson. Despite having lost his father due to the hollow magic two years before his 16th birthday, Nate still tries to be positive, on days that aren't full moons or directly after .
Maybe it's the fact that he wasn't an Orphan, his mom was still alive. Harriet Kenner-Labonair was asked to be become the Cresent's Alpha after her sister-in-laws death and so she was still in New Orleans.
Hayley's death hurt Nate quite a lot because he was close to his aunt more than any one else. She was his father's sister and had always helped him. There were times where it was hard being crowned as werewolf royalty.
Hope might of been the daughter of Hayley-the Hybrid Alpha- But her father was Niklaus Mikaelson and therefore the crescent wolves were slightly afraid.
It was clear that Nate got special treatment from the wolves because he was in a way a 'prince' but hated that word. He hates being called 'Prince werewolf' with all his being.
Nate didn't Even start going to the Salvatore school till after his Aunt's death simply because he liked New Orleans. He liked his home and even though he's been at boarding school for two years, Nate missed New Orleans.
But he knows to hide it, hides it very well in fact. Like on the morning after a full moon, he would shower, go down for breakfast and head to class as normal . But this day was different because Alaric called.
He said he wants Nate to help show the new boy around after Lizzie and Josie's tour. Speaking of which, the Saltzman twins were two people the wolf disliked sometimes, not because of their father being headmaster.
But because they thought him being in charge gave them control over everything, Lizzie Saltzman has a very difficult time around the boy because even though she dislikes him-Lizzie can't help finding him attractive.
"Go away, Prince." Lizzie puts an emphasis on the word 'prince' knowing it pisses him off. Nate has found them outside magic class where they were-of course- telling Raphael about Josie's so called 'Evil Ex'
"No can do blondie, daddy dearest assigned me to help with his tour. Probably afraid you'll go bonkers and blow something up again." Lizzie narrows her eyes, not liking that memory whatsoever.
"You're hilarious, Prince. Really charming." She snarks back, as Raphael waits to be introduced.
"Right sorry, this is Nate." Josie smiles at the crescent wolf, Having once seen him trying to hold in his anger and not wolf out kinda made them friends from afar. Josie's a helpful person and so when she saw him there-really pissed off and trying not to punch through a wall she tried helping him.
