I was over at the Curtis house with the gang. Everyone was just chillin and watching tv. My best friend, Sodapop, and I were on the couch.
To be honest, I like Soda. He's always there for me and he loves me. We always say I love you, but I don't know if he means it romantically. He probably doesn't.
Anyway, I got tired and rested my head on his shoulder. I closed my eyes and relaxed. I felt Soda pull me close and cuddle me. God, this feels so fucking good.
"You really love her, man." Dallas said.
"Yeah. But I don't know how to tell her I want her." Soda said squeezing me and kissing my head.
"Just tell her." Pony said.
"What if she doesn't feel that way. I love her so much and I can't lose her." Said Soda.
HOLY FUCK. SODA LOVES ME. ADGGVFFFGGGHHBBNN. I had a quiet mental breakdown.
I just chilled and pretended to be asleep.
Later, I was walking home and thought about Soda. Holy crap, he loves me loves me. I can't believe this. Wait, what if they knew I wasn't asleep and said it to mess with me. No, they couldn't have known.
"(Y/n)!" I heard Sodas voice yell.
I turned and smiled at him.
"Yeah?" I asked as he ran up.
"Let me walk with you." He smiled.
"Okay." I said and we began walking.
"So how was your nap, sleeping beauty?" Soda asked in a teasing manner.
"Good, thank you." I said laughing.
"You know you drool." He chuckled.
"No I don't." I said.
"Yes you do." He said.
"No I didn't." I said back, 'cause I know that for a fucking fact.
"How do you know?" He teased.
"Because...I just do!" I shouted.
He laughed and I rolled my eyes.
"Don't be mad." He said grabbing me and hugging me.
"Shut up." I pushed him off.
"C'mon, you know you love me." He teased.
"You can't prove it." I said crossing my arms.
"Hey, don't be mad." He said hugging me.
"I'm not." I laughed.
"You're just a good actress?" He said.
"Mhm." I laughed.
Soda got really close to me. For a moment I thought he was gonna kiss me but then he smirked and ran. I ran after him until we reached my house.
"You asshole. You know I'm not athletic." I said panting.
Soda laughed and rubbed my back.
I could hear yelling from my house and just stared at the window. My parents get in awful fights.
"Hey, it's okay." Soda said hugging me as my eyes watered.
"Yeah, whatever." I said pushing him off.
"Hey, don't start a fight with me just 'cause you're sad." Soda said.
"Fuck you." I yelled and punched his chest.
Soda grabbed my arms and put them down and then hugged me.
"I know you, (y/n). Whenever your parents fight you start a fight to release the anger." He said.
I cried into his chest.
"Let's sit." He said.
We sat on the curb and talked. I calmed down and was almost back to normal.
Soda always knows how to cure my sadness. That's why I love him.
"Soda?" I said quietly.
"Hmm?"
"I heard you say something earlier and I don't know how to process it." I said.
"What?" He smiled.
"You said you loved me." I said looking him in the eye.
"I always say that." He laughed.
"No, but when you said it to Dallas you meant it like you love, love me." I said and his face went red.
"You heard that?" He said scratching the back of his neck.
"Yeah." I said quietly.
Soda got up real quick and started pacing. I stood up and stopped him.
"Soda, I feel the same. I was too scared to say anything 'cause I've seen the girls you date and I don't look or act like that." I said.
"(Y/n), you're the most beautiful girl ever. There aren't many girls like you. Look, I've always liked you I just didn't say anything." He said grabbing my arms.
"Okay." I said not knowing what to say.
"So, you love me?" He asked.
"Of course I do." I screamed and hugged him.
I heard him chuckle softly.
"(Y/n), will you be with me? I wanna take you on dates, and kiss you, and cuddle you." He smiled and I chuckled.
"Yes, I'll be with you." I laughed and kissed his lips softly.
