Dean tried to get up and leave multiple times before our food came and I finally resorted to resting my foot on the booth seat between his legs and threatening to kick him in the crotch if he tried to leave again. He quit resisting after that.

When our food arrived he chowed down and I couldn't help but watch in awe. The man could put food away like none other. I mean I had seen him eat a lot before but never this fast.

"So tell me again how you felt fine?" I chimed taking a bite of my burger.

"Shut up." He said with a mouth full of fries.

I just rolled my eyes and kept eating. We didn't talk much, we didn't have much to talk about I mean we lived together and both understood the severity of our situation, but I think Dean needed to do something other than worry about the stability of life on planet Earth.

When he finished I made him sit there and not only wait till I was done but a few minutes past that just to make sure he would keep it down. There were a couple times I thought I would have to take my foot away and let him run to the bathroom but he kept it in. I finally let him go pee when I saw the waitress coming with our check. He hopped up and bolted to the bathroom and I hoped to high heaven that he just really had to pee.

"Sweetie wha chyou doin with a guy like dat?" The waitress asked setting down the little stand up check folder. She reminded me of Queen Latifa in ten years with a little more southern lovin in her and a little less Compton.

"Oh! No! I'm with his brother!" I exclaimed.

Appearently I flipped my left hand a bit too much for regular talking with your hands speech because then she nodded solemnly and said "oh I get it honey, brother-in-law bonding time. I just hope your hubby don't eat like his brother! I would have smacked him upside dat pretty lil head of his if he ate at my table like dat!"

I didn't have the heart or patience to correct her so I just smiled and nodded as I handed her my card, "yeah, we try to civilize him but he's just so stubborn."

"What am I stubborn about?" Dean asked sitting down as the waitress nodded to me and went off to ring us up.

"Oh everything. Please tell me you didn't hurl." I nearly begged.

He shook his head in a proud no as the waitress handed my card back to me.

"You two have fun with the rest of your in-law bonding! And honey make sure he slows down next time he's eatin. Boy gonna choke to death...." She trailed off muttering to herself.

I smiled and promised I would as I waved goodbye and walked outside.

"In-law?"Dean asked as we began meandering down the sidewalk.

"She thought we were together and when I corrected her that's the conclusion she drew." I explained not thinking it was a big deal. Dean however gave me a smirk that told me he thought otherwise.

"You said you and Sammy were married didn't you?" He asked doing the mushy mushy voice we all used to use in elementary school.

"No!" I protested and elbowed him just about as hard as I normally would.

My little nudge almost sent him tumbling into a bush.

"Don't you dare tell Sam." He grumbled as I helped him get his balance.

"Dean I can't do that." I sighed looping one arm around his to make sure he didn't just tip over again.

"No. I need to ice Metatron and I don't want him worrying any more than he already does." Dean pleaded.
