"Cas?!" Dean didn't do much ask the question as yell in outrage.
"Run..." Cas moaned as he made an effort to lift his eyes to us.
"Hey it's alright now man. We got you. We're gonna get you outa here." Dean told him with so much conviction I actually believed him for a second.
My belief trickled down the drain when I felt the tip of an angel blade press into my back.
The angel to the right of Cas grinned and stepped forward, "The only escape from here is death. Bring them in."
We were shoved into the small room where our hands were bound behind our backs and we were patted down for all our weapons. The angel checking me made a point to linger in certain places and I had to restrain my kicking reflex. Sam looked like he was about to break the zip ties as the same angel forced me on my knees at the foot of the bed and smirked at me as he walked away.
"I thought you were all toddlers with nuclear power. Why so flirtatious?" I taunted with a sarcastic smile as I swung my legs around to sit criss cross apple sauce up against the metal bed frame.
I received no response other than a dirty look as Sam and Dean were shoved into the same position on either side of me.
The angels huddled around Cas and began asking him questions about the 'rebel forces' using every violent tactic in the book. We tried asking questions to distract them and even resorted to begging them to stop but they kept ignoring us or flicking their wrists and forcing our mouths shut.
After a good hour of this I couldn't handle it anymore. Cas' screams had scared me at first then the fear morphed into utter hopeless sorrow but I finally found my angry streak. Picking my forehead up off of Sam's shoulder I slowly scooted a little closer to one of the angels until I was only three ish feet away. I threw my shoulders back and kicked my legs up swinging them as I used my arms to give myself extra balance as my weight was resting on my shoulders. I hit the flirty one in the face with my wonderful, custom, steel toed Doc Martins and flipped over my left shoulder onto my knees using my momentum to stand all the way up.
"I said stop bitch." I growled, noticing my eyes were glowing in the reflection of the TV.
Flirty rubbed his head as the others turned to look at him in expectation.
"Ehvs..." Sam choked looking up at me with fear dancing in his eyes.
"Gingy that was stupid." Dean muttered shanking his head.
"They stopped." I pointed out, widening my stance and preparing to dodge or kick.
Flirty had straightened himself up during our short 'oh fuck' moment and begun to walk up to me. He paused just out of leg range before taking an extra step and back handing me directly across my left cheek so hard I almost lost my balance. He struck me again and I was vaguely aware of Sam yelling and struggling to get up against the angels holding him down.
On his next strike I ducked inside his wingspan and round housed him square in the ribs sending him into the table only to bounce off it and land on the floor next to me. I took advantage of my position and gave him a strong boot to the face before I bent my right knee and dropped onto the angel's chest putting all of my weight on my knee. The cracking sound was sickening but I knew it wouldn't keep him down for long. I backed up to the table and reached for a blade to cut my zip ties hoping this angel wasn't a good healer.
I had almost grasped one when I felt a hand on my ankle yanking me back to the ground. I hit the back of my head on the table on the way down and it rattled my brain enough so that I barely thought to roll away when I saw a fist coming down at my face.
That's when a second angle joined the party swinging his foot in a rhythm against my hips and ribs as the other took his time to stand up and grab a blade off the table.
With a wicked grin the angel held it tip down over my heart and let it drop from five feet up. I rolled away from it only to roll into a kick square in the stomach by his buddy.
The pain of this kick was unlike any of the others. It felt like the knife had gone off course and shredded through the area right above my bladder causing me to let out a metallic, ringing shriek. After the initial shock of the impact, the second wave of pain hit me even harder, a burning sensation from the ripped tissue like when you grab something out of the oven without mitts. The pain blurred my vision as it sent me into unconsciousness making the last thing I saw a blurry and panicked Sam desperately trying to reach me with two angels hanging on to him, hands still tied behind his back.I woke up laying on my back on a plush blanket, zip ties broken and hands resting at my sides.
"Coffee miss?" An eerily sing song voice called to me in my half conscious state.
I propped myself up on my elbows to see Metatron sitting at the table of the same hotel room littered with bodies, Cas still sitting nearly dead to the world in his chair but I couldn't find Dean or Sam.
I jerked all the way up to my feet, fighting to stay stable through the pain, "Where are Sam and Dean?" I demanded with a shaking voice and frantic expression.
"At the foot of your bed." Metatron motioned ever so calmly, "They killed all of my angels. I couldn't leave them conscious." He scoffed as if I were a four year old asking what color grass was.
I rushed to check their pulses, breathing a sigh of relief when I felt two strong thuds against my finger pads. I bit my lip to keep the tears back as I took in their sight. It looked like they had been beat to hell and back twice, each time being brought back to Earth through a meat tenderizer.
I stood and spun around with my hair whipping me in the face."Why-"
"Because you did no killing." Metatron answered before I even got my question out, "why would I need to immobilize something that's not a threat?" He smirked at my reaction of offense, "Coffee? I hear you enjoy this concoction." He offered holing out a mug and pointing towards the seat across from him. "I've never understood human's love for bitter tastes. Coffee, alcohol, even some cheeses! It might explain why they can stomach some of the horrible things they do to other people...."
I sat down carefully after running my hand over the seat to check for pressure or warmth activated sensors.
This guy was crafty, I put nothing past him.
"That's beside the point however. What I am here to talk about is our story." He smiled a crooked bone chilling grin.
"Our story?" I asked gripping the coffee cup out of habit and the need to either hold something or cry out in pain, not planning to drink a drop.
"Why yes of course!" He made a white girl 'ugh' sound and leaned his head on his hand before he continued, "You get to help me win this cute little angel war then lead my new army when heaven is rebuilt. You are the most powerful being on the planet after all." He gushed as if he was meeting his idol.
"You're cute. Hell no." I snapped not really meaning to be harsh but that was all I could choke out.
"Oh I'm not asking permission." He retorted, his face falling, leaving a blank but deadly looking expression where there was just a goofy smile. "I'm just telling you what to expect." He pointed to the coffee I was tapping with an unamused expression to hide my inner panic, "that's the mind control spell." He whispered.
I shoved the coffee away and stood abruptly, knocking the chair over and stumbling over it as I backed away from the now sloshing cup.
Thank god I didn't drink any.
"Oh no not the liquid!" Metatron laughed, "no no my dear, that is coffee. What was coating the cup was the spell. And what was coating the cup is now seeping into your blood stream through the palms of your hands and you can do absolutely nothing to stop it."
"No. You're lying." I choked out feeling my period start at the worst possible moment but not really caring. I had tears brimming at my eyes as I heard Sam groan in waking behind me.
Metatron grinned again, "Oh good! They're waking up for the show!" He flicked his hand up and lifted the boys into a sitting position on the bed flipping his hand into the 'stop' sign and holding them in place. "You're my bitch now." He croaked, his tone once again fluctuating to a darker frequency, "so dance."
