Malungkot akong humahakbang palayo sa presinto kung saan nakakulong si Justine.

I didn’t mean to hurt him but I don’t think he loves me. Nandidiri sya sa Hartine, pano nya ako mamahalin kung iyon ang pananaw nya noon pa? And no, time doesn’t precisely changes everything, even feelings for someone.

Habang naglalakad ako ay may napansin akong pamilyar na tao, na para bang nakikipag-away sa isang tao na hindi pamilyar sa akin.

“Jade?” Bulong ko nang matandaan ko ang pangalan nito.

“I’m out of here! Wag mo na ako guluhin ulit, Nicollo!” Malakas na sigaw ni Jade sa lalaking hindi ko kilala at kumaripas na agad ng takbo palayo.

Napansin ko ang pagyuko ng lalaki at dali-dali din itong umalis palayo.

Lumapit ako sa kinaroroonan nito at muntik na akong mapatalon sa gulat nang may naapakan akong mga papel na mukhang journal.

Agad ko namang pinulot ito at binasa ko ang front page nito.

Harper Castro? Diba ito yung natirang miyembro ng Coup d'etat noon sa Winslet University? Teka, Guide For Players?

Isinilid ko muna ang guide book na ito sa handbag ko at dali-dali akong pumasok sa isang fastfood chain dahil nagugutom na din naman ako.

Umorder ako ng pagkain at agad akong umupo kasama ang tray ng pagkain ko. Nang mailapag ko ito ay agad ko din kinuha ang guide book na napulot ko.

Agad kong inilapat ang guide book sa first page at nakita ko ang mga sulat na

What? Kasama sa mga pumapatay si Jade? Tsaka, what again? Player information #12? Edi mayroon pang number 1 at higit pa sa 12?

Sumubo ako at kanin at manok. Uminom din ako ng soda. Inilapat ko ulit ang pahina nito at nakita ko ang motto ng grupong iyon.

“Hey. Pwede ba akong makiupo? Wala na kasing bakanteng upuan.” Napatigil ako sa pagbabasa at agad akong tinago ang guidebook na binabasa ko nang may narinig akong nagsalita sa harapan ko.

“Miss? Pwede?” Pag-uulit pa nung lalaki kaya sapilitan nalang akong tumango sa sinasabi nito.

Okay, he's cute but Justine’s cuter. I dunno but basically, Justine looks like a cute stray cat. This one looks like a cute stray dog.

“Kasama ka din pala sa kanila?” Bigla nitong tanong kaya napatigil ako sa pag-inom. Anong problema nitong stray dog na ’to. Teka..?

“Anong alam mo sa kanila?” Diretso kong tanong kay stray dog, wait, can I just ask his name rather than calling him Stray Dog. “What’s your name by the way?” Dagdag ko.

“Nicollo Remperas. Formerly from Zemirah City, training base of that group.” Nakangiti nitong saad sa akin kaya kinilabutan nalang ako. Training base? So, nagttrain talaga sila ng mga tao para pumatay?

“Zemirah City was dubbed as the city of murders years ago. But don't worry, most of their players are mostly on training periods until now. Charline is one of the best trainee there.” Saad pa nito sa akin kaya nanlaki din ang mata ko, “Hey, don't worry. I'm not one of the trainees. My father is a guard of the training base.” Dagdag pa nito.

“I don't know why the heck are you still calm. They kill people for their game! They kill to avenge. And like what the fish, paano ako kakalma kung marami din pala ang gustong pumatay sa amin?” Asar kong bulyaw sa kanya.

“Calm your hormones miss. It's a group that abolishs criminals. They don't kill for games or avenging or so-what hoaxes.” Kalmado din saad nito sa akin kaya napailing nalang ako. But wait, he said Charline right?

“Charline? What's that Charline dude’s full name?” Tanong ko sa kanya kaya nagbago ang expression nito.

“I dunno.” Maikli nitong saad at tumayo na. Ngayon ko lang napansin na ubos na ang kinakain nito.

Kinuha ko muli ang guidebook at binasa ang susunod na laman nito.

“Leader: They are the founders or the related one of the founder. They are the one whose in-charge of leading the game assigned to them. They are expected to fix every target list and target location of every game. Leaders change every game

  Visual: They are the ones whose in-charge of writing the group's motto and also of the rhyme schemes for the targets. They are the most tricky ones because they tend to be very close with the targets. Visuals are sometimes the most unexpected ones in the view of the target. Both leader and visual have equal power.

  Rapper: They are in-charge of kidnapping the targets. They are usually the blacksheeps of the group and appears as an antagonist in the view of the target. Rappers aren't allowed to kill the other's target, except if they have a same or mutual target/s

  Vocalist: They are in-charge of monitoring targets. They appear as the weakling in the view of the target. Vocalists are chosen by the visual and leader together. They are not allowed to kill the visual's target, except if they have a same or mutual target/s

  Dancer: They are in-charge of guarding the targets once they are kidnapped by the rapper. They are the latecomers of the groups, and they are the one usually forcefully convinced by the leader or visual.

  4D: This is the member that doesn't know that he/she is a member. The 4D is picked personally by the leader or visual. Main reason of having a 4D is to avoid this person to be involved to their murders and crimes. There is only one 4D picked.”

So, Jade is a rapper and the rapper's role is to kidnap the victims and to be the blacksheep towards the victim?

They are fucked up. But, Aaliyah once said, “Screw my rapper position, I want my leadership rank”

Kasama din si Aaliyah sa linya ng rapper kasama ni Jade? They are damned fucked up.
