"Oh my god."

Andrew looked up from where he was sitting. "What?"

"Come over here and you'll see what I am talking about."

Andrew got up and made his way over to me, leaning over my shoulders. "The hell?"

"I know."

On the computer, I listed the names of everyone killed by this murderer and what they were doing before their deaths.

The businessman Issac Miller said he was going to attempt to deal with Wolfe Industries, the next day he was dead. On top of that, the words "no contact" was painted with his blood.

A reporter was about to reveal my location, the reporter was dead the next day with the words "no one will know" painted on the wall.

The other cases were like the first two, victim dead after opening saying something that related to me or Wolfe Industries, such as business dealings or my location, and the crime scene had ominous words written in said victim's blood.

"So, you have a murder coming after you?"

"It seems so, but what I don't understand is why?" I paused for a moment before shaking my head. "Scratch that. I understand why, I just want to know why it is happening now. This person targeted you, what did you say?"

"I may have said that I was going to go look for you. After people started to die, of course. I thought you could help."

Realization dawned on me. "Andrew, that is exactly what this person wanted. They clearly were sending a message, and they are clearly smart enough to evade any sort of capture or arrest."

"So a short summary of this is that we are all fucked." He smirked. "Well, you are anyways."

"Not yet. We just need to be cautious." I glared at him. "Remember, you are a player in this hunt. You can either become the hunter or the prey, your choice."

"You and your hunter-prey analogies."

I rolled my eyes. "Asshole."

He gave another one of his annoying smirks. "Whore."

I brushed Chase, King and Remy close by my side. The door opened. "Violet-"

"Good, you're back." I scratched Chase's ears without looking up. "I trust that you didn't have-" I stopped mid-sentence, freezing where I sat as I looked up and saw the people Andrew brought with him.

Lily, Leo, Jay and his friends, Jaxson, and Jon.

Fuck.

"When you said you wanted us to talk to someone, I didn't think you meant her." Leo's eyes were fixed on me, narrowed in fury.

Regaining my composure I help Chase off my lap before standing up and smoothing out my skirt. Donning the cold mask I wore as a CEO, I met Leo's gaze.

"I assure you I was unaware of this." I glanced at Andrew, my eyes narrowing ever so slightly. "Next time, come to me before you do anything rash," I said, my voice dripping with a slight edge. "I despise it when people go behind my back." My last comment held a hint of a growl to it.

Andrew sighed. "You would've said no, so I thought I'd deal with you about this matter later."

Gritting my teeth together, I turned my attention to the group. "Why are you all here?"

"Again, apparently we needed to talk to you," Jaxson responded.

I hummed out a response before looking at Andrew. "About what we found?"

"May I do the honors of summarizing it?"

I scoffed. "If you wish."

"The recent murders are connected to Violet."

"You made it seem like I am the murderer."

"Not what I intended, but not necessarily false either."

"Just get on with it," I muttered. "And take a seat and grab some drinks. I'd feel like a bad host if I did not offer."

Jaxson gave me a grateful smile before getting everyone a drink. I used this time to observe everyone in my bar.

Leo was sitting at one of the tables, Lily sitting with him along with two children.

Jay sat with a group of other people, who I easily recognized as his old friends from before he moved. The ones I had met before I received the call from Andrew about Jamie.

Jon sat at another table, and I assumed that Jaxson was going to sit with him after passing out the drinks.

Andrew walked up to me. "I hate you," I growled.

"I know."

Jaxson gave me a thumbs-up as he sat down.

Sighing, I gestured for Andrew to continue. "Everyone who was killed had something to do with Violet or Wolfe Industries, such as business deals or a leak in Violet's location. The police came to the scene of the crime and found ominous messages written in their blood such as 'no contact' and 'no one will know'."

"There were more, but all of these extra details such as what they were previously going to do or what was written in the blood were kept private."

"How did you get the information?" Lily finally spoke up.

"Interesting question. Andrew," I smirked. "Care to say how you got the information?"

He sighed. "I hacked into the police's CPU." He paused for a moment. "I also saw your criminal record."

"My record is nothing compared to your's."

"You sure? Homicide doesn't look good."

A bitter laugh escaped me. "You shouldn't be talking about homicide."

Andrew ignored my comment. "I propose we work together. We don't have to enjoy it," He gave me a pointed look. "But it's necessary if we are to bring this person down."

"And how would we do that?" Leo questioned.

"The same way we solve every problem," Andrew answered, looking at me. "Murder."

"Murder?"

"You said it yourself, you would kill this person."

"When did I ever say that?"

"After you came back from your trip to the cemetery."

I sighed. "Why did I even tell you."

"No idea, but you did it anyway."

"We'll call you all back another time," I said, directing it towards everyone else in the room. "Andrew and I need to gather more information first."
