Weather the Storm

Chapter 5

Marzia POV

I threw myself uselessly against the metal door.

"Let me out!" I screamed furiously. I sat down for a moment, tired. Stupid Dan! I found the love of my life, but my ex had to come and ruin it! I had to get to Felix! I got up again.

"LET ME OUT!"

Suddenly, the door knob turned. I paused for a moment. Dan came in.

"Hey Sweetcakes, look what Dan brought ya!"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT! LET ME GO!" I was furious. I needed to be out of this room RIGHT NOW.

"Watch," he said, turning a video on his phone on. It was me, yelling at Dan, but he had edited the clip to make it look like I had been yelling at someone else.

"Now look at your DEAR boyfriend's reaction." he turned on another video. "M-Marzia?" I watched as Felix sputtered. I listened as Dan reinforced the illusion.

"No! Felix...no! Please!"

I could only watch as Felix stood there, pain written clearly on his face. "Felix!" I cried out again in anguish. I couldn't believe what Dan had done. Then, a hand, presumably Dan's, reached out and slammed the door shut. The video turned off.

"How could you?!" I screamed hysterically, and slapped Dan.

"You put another hand on me, and you'll regret it!"

I didn't care. I slapped him across the other cheek. He had no right to interfere with my life.

"I warned you!" Dan roared, and punched me in the stomach. I flew back across the room and curled up into a ball.

"I'll be back tomorrow with breakfast," he snarled, "It's already 9PM." Dan slammed and locked the door behind him.

I dragged myself over to the bed, tears flowing freely from my eyes. I climbed in and curled up. In just several short hours, my entire body was bruised from Dan abusing me.

"Felix...oh Felix..." I whispered, and cried myself to sleep.

Felix POV

I felt hopeless. Marzia had been my everything. She was my life, my hope, my happiness. I still couldn't believe she was gone. I couldn't sleep without feeling her warmth next to me. At least she was happy. Sighing, I got up listlessly. Without noticing it, my fingers began to type Dan's name in. His Twitter account said he was a bodybuilder and a professional wrestler. At the very bottom of the page, it listed his current location. I copied down the address, and popped into the car. I needed one last glimpse, no matter how far away, of Marzia.

As I got closer, the houses got older and older, and more abandoned looking. I finally stopped in front of an abandoned looking house, which was dark grey in color, but must've been once white. There were no windows, strangely. After losing Marzia, I didn't care what happened to me anymore. Trying the door, I noticed it was unlocked.

I heard moans and screams, and suddenly noticed rows and rows of cells around me, each with a different , once-beautiful woman. THIS was Marzia's new home? Oh well, her choice, I suppose.

Suddenly, I heard the pounding of heavy feet behind me. I turned around, but I was too slow. My head made contact with a heavy object, and the last thing I knew was the dirty basement floor rushing towards me.
