Adam (AS) did not listen to him because his Rabb had warned him against Iblis, and told him that he was his enemy.
Iblis did not give up hope. He kept whispering to Adam (AS). He told him and Hawwa, "Your Rabb only prohibited you from this tree, because it will make you angels or live forever."
Adam (AS) did not listen to Iblis and ran away from him. Iblis followed him. He told him, "In the Name of Allah, I am a well-wisher to the two of you."
Adam (AS) put his fingers in His ears and went far away from him. Iblis now knew that he would not be able to whisper to Adam (AS).
Iblis now looked at Hawwa and saw her looking at the forbidden tree. He rushed to her and said," What a beautiful tree! It's taste is delicious! It's smell is pure! It's colour is strong!"
Hawwa now liked the tree even more. She wanted to taste from it. Her wish for it became so much that it took control of her. She stretched her hand to the tree and disobeyed her Rabb. She took from the fruit and ate it. She found its taste to be sweet.
She went to Adam (AS) and said to him, "O Adam, eat this, for I ate it."
