While he was like that, Allah Ta'aala sent two crows who began to fight with each other. Qabil watched them as one killed another. The killer crow started to dig a hole in the ground. It then dragged the dead one to the hole. The killer put the dead bird in the hole and covered it with sand. When Qabil saw that he said, "How wretched I am that I am unable to even do like this crow and hide my brother's body?"
He then a dug a hole and put Habil in it. He covered him with sand.
Adam (AS) came back and saw that everything was different. *The plants never had thorns before, but after Habil was killed they became thorny. The animals used to live with the people. When this crime was committed, they stayed far away from all people.*
When Qabil saw Adam (AS) coming back, he took Kalima and run far away.
Adam (AS) hurried to the cave. Hawwa knew about Habil's murder and told him about it. Adam (AS) cried bitterly. He was very sad at the murder. He went after Qabil and found him coming down a mountain. He was holding Kalima's hand.
He said to him, "Go in fear. You will never feel safe when you see anyone."
