Dedicated Chapter 24:

May 19, at the beach with her friends

-HANJI-

Pour some soy sauce, oyster sauce, and vinegar; added with salt, sugar, pepper and cinn-

"No-no-no Hanji! Stop that! If you're making barbeque sauce, I order you to stop."

"Oh Nanaba I just wanted to try!" I exclaimed.

"No. I have already prepared the sauce beforehand. Throw that away." She ordered.

I have no choice but to do it. But before doing so, I tasted it first.

"Well, it wasn't even half bad." I muttered.

I walked back to my friends (to say to Nanaba's side) to help in preparing the food.

"How is it going?" Erwin appeared.

"Why, sir, there's no need to hury. Hanji and I are almost done if only she did not bother trying to make her own barbeque sauce..." Nanaba answered while eyeing me.

"Ma'am Hanji, we know you can cook well enough but there is no need for you to do experimentation using condiments." Erwin told me laughingly.

"Yes, sir. I will try to keep that in mind." I nodded.

Hannes walked towards us.

"Hey, hey! Drop your titles already! We're here at a beach not at school." We laughed heartily.

"We were just joking around. Nothing school related seriousness." I said.

We put down the food on the table and called the others.

"By the way, who'll pay for the shed's rental fee?" Rico asked.

"Erwin and Mike!" The rest of us chorused together.

Erwin just smiled and nodded while Mike knitted his eyebrows.

We talked and laughed as we eat barbeque and grilled fish. Ian and Rico poured out lemonade and ice tea for the drinks.

"It's good that everyone's here." Moblit said, raising his cup.

"Of course, of course. Everyone is here. We don't have much for our vacation and given that we still have seminars and conventions to attend from time to time, it's only a must to make the most of it." I replied.

And then we talked about our beachwear. The guys are wearing their colorful shorts and even more colorful undershirts and tank tops. Me and and Rico are wearing shorts while Nanaba is wearing a skirt but the three of us are wearing crochet blouses. Nanaba and some of the guys are wearing both hat and shades.

But the one who stands out the most is Erwin. He is being stared by other ladies at the beach.

I wonder how come he's still okay with so many girls staring at him like he thinks they're not even there.

"Well, what plans do you guys have? I plan to make plans for the next school year." Erwin asked and changed the subject.

"Staycation. At home, eating ice cream." Rico said.

"And I will go over to her house to do the same and also, to talk about our plans for our wedding." Ian said and we gave him an applause.
