Rami wines and moans in pain through the thick slip of duck tape covering his mouth.
"Well look who's talking, or I guess not talking, 'cause you know, ya can't!" I scoff. I'm hilarious!
He lets out a scream that sounds like an aggravated water pipe. I hear a knock on the door, and pray it's Katherine. Things had gotten so boring.
I rush over to the door and fling it open wildly. There she stands, with a look of horror in her eyes that she can't seem to shake.
"How'd it go, Katherine?" I ask inquisitively.
"It's fixed," she says, and it looks like she might just cry, which I am not prepared for. "No let Rami free, Sebastian!"
"Not on your life!" I shout, and she shoots me a cold glance. Suddenly, an amazing idea stars churning in my brain. "Well, I could... no, that's silly!"
"What, Sebastian?! WHAT?!" Katherine practically screams. "Name your price!"
"I want...." I hesitate for a minute because I like to keep her guessing. "To face you in a sing-off!"
"That's it?!" Katherine wines, blatantly disappointed. "I'll win, I'm trained."
"I don't know about, I've been working on something.." I say as I walk backwards to the bed that Rami is laid on. I rip the duck tape off of his mouth.
"aAAaAaaaAAaaAaAaAAaaaaAAAAaaahhHHhhHhHH!!!!!!" Rami screams. "That shit hurt like hell, man!"
"Rami!" I demand. "Join me in the opening to Bohemian Rhapsody. Just let me get this worked out..."
I pick up my phone and open music. The stupid song took three hours to download (bad WiFi), so it better be worth it now.
Rami and I sing:
"Is this the real life, or is this just fantasy?"
"Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality!"
Katherine joins in like it's her Broadway debut:
"Open your eyes, look up to the skies and sEEEEEeeeeeEEEEeeEEEeeeeee"Rami, in his monotonous voice, sings;
"I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy."All of us warble:
"Because it's easy come, easy go. A little high, little low."Now, it's just me:
"aNyWAy tHe wInD bLOwS, DOesNt rEAlLy mAtTeR to mREEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeEEEHHHhhhh!"Katherine grabs the phone from out of my hands.
"Seriously, Sebastian, why that song?" She says, tossing the phone between her hands. "So old! Let's play something... newer!"
"That song is amazing, and Queen is life!" Rami yells angrily.
Nobody responds.
She plays the song, I hear it torment me. Taunt me. The world seems to turn faster and I get dizzy. Visions of the comments on my last TikTok haunt me like demons.
'Eww, you look orange!!"
'My priest would not approve!"
"🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊""No!!!!" I cry, literally cry, as I fall to the ground. "Make it stop!!!"
