It's an interesting Sunday morning.
I was planning on finally being a good neighbor and paying a bit of attention to the beautiful garden in our courtyard. The weather was good week-long and it carried its aftereffects to the sunny weekend too.
However someone was apparently earlier than me.
Jimin hyung is loosely holding a hose in his hand and watching me with his head tilted to the side. He has shorts that barely reach his thighs, flip flops and a short-sleeved shirt. He looks... so freaking adorable and hot at the same time... We had our million problems and whatnot but man, I can't deny that hyung is like a snack and I'm not even speaking metaphorically.
I'm on the other hand, just staring back at him because I'm an idiot and I'm apparently looking like one too.
- Good morning? -Jimin hyung says with an awkward smile, obviously looking for the reason I'm staring at him wordlessly.
- Oh, good morning. -I reply with a smile, shaking myself up and going down the stairs few steps ahead of me. -What are you doing?
He holds the hose higher and shakes his head left to right; he is making a point.
- Yeah. -I say in embarrassment, my cheeks heating up a bit in the process. -You need help or something?
His eyes light up but the sparkles are gone before I even have time to enjoy their gorgeous appearance. No matter what happened between us it's unfair to oversee hyung's angelic features, the positive aura that pulls anyone in just by a stare at his breath-taking beauty.
- You have nothing to do? -Jimin hyung asks with a smile and shrugs, turning around and running water over the flowers on the corner of his house wall.
- I wanted to look after the garden today... That's why I came out.
Jimin hyung turns his head around, throwing me quick glance behind his shoulders.
- Mm. -He replies with a hidden smile and goes back to doing whatever he is, leaving me to stare around foolishly.
You could have given me something to do as well, thanks hyung. So fucking polite.
What should I do, where should I start... I haven't even gardened before. I don't know what I was thinking when I felt excited to 'take care' of it. The most I can do is water some plants but since he's got the hose... Yup.
I walk around the garden, observing the pots filled with flowers and seeds, some growing out into little saplings. It's refreshing to observe the beautiful contrast of the flowers add to our garden; here feels more homey, more livable with the green pigment complimenting the orange of the tiles and the blonde of hyung's hair... Even though things are patchy between us, just his presence is enough to make me feel secure.
Sometimes you feel secure just by watching someone be present besides you. Then you realize that flowers or not, the garden would still be blooming and beautiful, because he is a part of it.
