[6 Months Later]
Jungkook POV.
We are exhausted from the plane trip, it feels like jet lag is almost never gonna get better; no matter how many times we travel. We've kind of established the three-month routine between Seoul and L.A., even though it's our second time coming to United States after we settled with the dance studio and found a house. You know, the basics.
Jimin hyung pays for the Uber as I gather the luggages from the back. We've got quite some stuff here... Four luggages for the two of us, even though we already got our wardrobes and house-related material ready the first time we came around. Well... this coming is more special, so. Ah, why am I blushing just by the thought...
- Thank you! -Jimin hyung waves kindly at the driver as I watch him funnily, trying to hold the bags together at the same time. His eyebrows quirk up in an urge to smile when he notices me behind the car. -What?
- Do you have to wave at all of them?
- Yes, I do. -He rolls his eyes humorously, passing me a dismissing stare as he grabs two random bags and struts ahead of me towards the gate of our house. -Humanity still exists, you know.
- What, are you calling me inhumane for not sending off my rides with a wave? -I keep my mouth busy as I follow him, both of us side by side as we wait for the door to be attended. -Rude.
Hyung is about to make a comeback but the opening of the gates distracts us both, behind which our America-based manager stands, dressed in a two-pieced casual red suit and a never-less-brighter toothy smile.
- Hello, there! -She exclaims, enough to make us both smile genuinely. -Missed you guys!
- You mean you missed me? -I tease, ignoring the betrayed look Jimin hyung is giving me as she laughs in full content and walks over to grab the backpack on my shoulders, after that Jimin hyung's camera bag.
- We both know I'm your favorite, right Paloma? -Jimin hyung pushes, breaking into a fit of laughter as Paloma pretends to be fake-sushing him even though she knows I can see. Okay, yeah, it's not like I don't know Paloma has a slight favoritism towards Jimin hyung - they even have their secret playful ciphers! - though she absolutely falls for my charms when I go after her.
I don't know how Hoseok hyung found her - he says he brought her to the company all the way from Chicago! She's so worth it, I'll tell you that, we trust her wholeheartedly.
Paloma leads us into the garden, which looks quite different than the time we first moved in. There weren't those gazebos, neither the little decorous wooden tables and umbrellas to give the place a more homey feeling. Jimin hyung points here and there, asking her about each of the furnitures that he notices, seemingly in love with the changes already. I smile. She took good care of the place while we weren't around.
- Just a sec... -She fishes for the keys in her little purse, from which she successfully gathers the jingles after a good minute. Women and purses man. The mystery. -Got it!
The moment we step in, a smell of flowers welcomes us.
- Oh my god. -I pause and pull in the addicting scent, feeling my tiredness fade away already.
This house exceptionally looks like a vacation place... It was too expensive in the beginning but Hoseok hyung payed us a few months in advance and we were able to get a good deal with the landlord so... whenever we come to L.A. we'll be having this awesome peaceful place to live in.
