Jimin POV.
I smirk boastfully as Jungkook stares at the pickup truck parked in front of our house.
- Honda Ridgeline? Are you shitting with me?
I shrug suggestively, extending my hands on the shut car door where I'm leaned on, putting on a show that makes Jungkook's expression change from surprised to amused. He shakes his head as he walks towards me, places his hands under my arms on the car and leans his face towards mine, a mischievous smile on his eyes.
I giggle, not being able to hold myself together when he bumps our noses together with that same disbelieving expression. Tease-shit.
- You think this is funny?
I snort, shaking my head idiotically as his eyes travel over my face.
- You think you have the right to mess with my heart like this?
- It's just a car, get over it. -I turn my head to the side, watching the car like I don't care one bit about him being this near as he amusedly chuckles and shakes his head, shoulders approximating to mine teasingly, trying to weaken my game by increasing our proximity. So that's his trump card.
- You sure you're not gonna get in trouble for this car?
I turn my head around, tilting it a little backwards because gosh, he is pushing with the closeness. We might as well... y'know, if he's going to be pervasive like this...
- Mr. Choi won't snitch on us. -I say with a playful smile and raise my eyebrows daringly. He hums in agreement, though I don't know what exactly it's meant for... Why is he watching me with those... venturous eyes... -P-plus I had to contribute in some way. You are the one handling the whole trip, so...
Never thought I was the type of bratty son that steals from his dad, although I can't care less about the fact that I have sneaked out one of those forever-parked cars in the storage depot of the garage. I informed Mr. Choi and (kinda) got his permission for it, so if dad comes around to ask what happened to the car Mr. Choi got us covered. The poor man feels so bad for me that he went along with my crazy plan, just like the many times he covered for me at the car repair shop when I got late and failed to do some tasks. I owe Mr. Choi big time. Maybe I'll get him something from the trip and gift it to him and his family as a thank you.
- Business trip. -Jungkook corrects me, corner of his lip twitching when my cheeks start burning and probably take on the color of the heat. It's hard to keep confidence with him not backing up... A few seconds is okay but he has been near for too long and it's m-making me nervous. -We can't forget that.
- Mm well... -I look up as I lift my shoulders a little, trying to breathe because it's getting hotter than ever with that bunny smile coming for me. -We'll still have fun... won't we?
He stares at me a little longer than I'd like and finally nods.
I feel his breathy laughter on my lips and gulp, turning my gaze to his shoulder, the first place I could find to look at to escape from his eyes.
- Hyung. -His voice is particularly raspy this once. -I'll make everything up to you. I promise.
Make everything up to me. How much is everything Jungkookie?
It was obvious from the very beginning that he was trying to make it up to me. We don't have a necessarily eventless history, most of which resulted from a careless act without consideration on his part. If it was a matter of personal judgement, I'd say that with what he's done so far, he's outdone any and everything he already messed up. It changes though... The greater the consequences grow to being, the less the effort counts.
