"YoU oKaY tHeRe BuDdY?" I asked Ink, playfully poking him on the side of the skull with the eraser end of my pencil.

"Tired..." He said, his voice muffled.

"...Of ScHoOl?" I said in a joking tone.

"No.. Just tired" He responded, his head still in his arms.

"OkAy ThEn." I said as I walked away, towards my desk.

I would never tell anyone, but this was slightly worrying.... I mean, he's normally so bright, colorful, and cute.. yeah.. I just called him cute. In all honesty, I've been crushing on him for while, even before we were friends. Anyway, I hope he's fine.

~Time skip to end of the day~

-=Blue's POV=-

Dream and I waited for Ink by Dream's favorite tree near the front of the school. The bell had rung 10 minutes ago or more, but maybe Ink was talking with some other friends or had a long class assignment or something-

"There ya are Ink!" Dream said, walking towards our friend, who was slowly approaching the tree.

"What took you so long?-" I asked, running towards Ink. I stopped in my tracks when I got close, though. Ink looked... tired, really, really tired. He was limping too.

"Ink? What happened?" Dream asked, worry obvious in his voice and on his face.

"I think I'm sick.." Ink responded, his voice hoarse.

"Is that why you were acting weird during breakfast?" I asked him.

Ink nodded, then batted away Dream, who was trying to check Ink's temperature.

"Ink! Lemme check if you have a fever or not!!" Dream demanded, pressing the back of his hand against Ink's forehead.

"Oh My Stars, Dream! Im not THAT sick!" Ink exclaimed, pushing Dream's hand away again while I giggled.

Dream crossed his arms, "Fine... Come one, lets go home, I'll deal with you later."

~At Home~

-=Blue's POV=-

Dream had miraculously left Ink alone, well, after forcing a pill or two down his non-existent throat that is. Now Dream was upstairs in his bedroom, and Ink and I were watching TV on the sofa. I was still curious about something though...

"Ink? Why were you limping?" I asked, turning my head to the side to look at him.

"Huh?" He said blankly, his eye-sockets still focused on the TV screen in front of us.

"You were limping when you came to meet us at the tree, and you also limped all the way home!'"

"Oh..." He started, finally turning to face me, "I slammed into a wall when I was walking down the hallway after History."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah!"

"Are you sure Ink? You don't normally do stuff like that.."

"YES! Im sure!"

"Really?" I persisted, staring at Ink with sad puppy eyes.

Ink smiled sadly, "You always know when somethings up, don't you Blue?"

I still stared at him with puppy eyes.

Ink sighed, "Okay! Fine! I'll tell you. Nightmare fought me.."

I immediately tensed up. Nightmare used to be best friends with Error, and they ruled the school together, always beating up the ones that challenged them or the ones they saw as weak. Error changed when we became friends with him though, and as a result he ended his friendship with Nightmare. That's when Nightmare started targeting us, claiming that we had first taken his brother, and now his friend.

"Oh no! Are.. are you okay?" I asked, my expression changing to that of concern.

-=Ink's POV=-

"Oh no! Are.. are you okay?" Blue asked me, his expression showing concern.

I simply nodded. I really didn't want to talk about it. Why? Because I had lied. I hadn't actually realized I was limping, but.... I already told Dream I was sick, if he thought I had injured myself or something, he would probably start stressing himself about me, and I really didn't want that. Actually, saying it was Nightmare's fault probably wasn't the smartest move...

"Don't tell Dream, okay?" I asked Blue, trying my best to fake sincerity. Thankfully, he bought it.

"But-"

"Please..?"

Blue sighed, then nodded, though, his expression of disbelief became much clearer. Then I realized he was going to press the matter further. I started to panic, trying to think of another lie.

I fake-yawned, getting up and walking towards the stairs.

"Goodnight" Is all I said before heading up the stairs, not bothering to turn around. Oh joy, now the guilt of lying will make me feel even crummier...
