  "ERROR!!!"

I quickly waded across a shallow part of the river, not phased by the chilly temperature of it. The gravel beneath Error was damp with something, hopefully it was just water. I started sprinting towards the unmoving body that laid on the other side of the river, praying he was still breathing. Tripping, I landed next to him and quickly sat up, reaching out to shake him, or try to wake him up or something!

  "Error?" I hoarsely asked.

As soon as my hand made contact with his arm I immediately recoiled. A thick, dark, warm substance coated my hand and shimmered crimson in the light of the moon.

Blood.

It was coating the gravel beneath him and had soaked through his ripped jacket sleeve.

"Oh god no, please no, you can't be, Error? Error?! Please- please wake up!-" I pleaded, pulling him onto my lap and cradling him in my arms.

I winced as his blood coated my arms and hoodie, but felt relieved as his chest steadily rose up and down. I need to do something about this, though. He was losing too much blood-

Desperately looking around, I suddenly remembered the backpack.

"I-I'll be back, o-okay?" I whispered, tenderly setting Error back down onto the ground.

Not wasting a second, I ran until I reached the backpack I had left abandoned on the ground. Scooping it up, my breathing became labored as I forced my already tired body to continue sprinting. But I couldn't care less about myself.

  I needed to help Error.

Coming to a stop as soon as I reached him, I crouched down and all but dumped the insides of the bag out as I desperately dug though it. This was my backpack, and I knew I had brought a first-aid kit with me, I just needed to find it.

Finally finding the small white box, I popped it open and picked up the bandages and antiseptic solution. Carefully, I rolled up his torn left jacket sleeve only to find a horrifically deep gash running from his wrist to mid-fore arm. I began dressing the wound, only to find not two seconds after I finished that the bandages were already crimson with his blood. I came to the conclusion that the wound was too deep and was bleeding too heavily to be bandaged properly...

Looking back through the first-aid kit, the glint of the moon reflecting off of silvery needles caught my attention. I realized that would need to stitch the wound closed..

I grimaced, selecting a needle and threading it. I fully understood that there were a vast amount of ways to mess this up, but would that even matter if Error bled to death? Mentally preparing myself, I began.

-=Error's POV=-

"Error?! Error, can you hear me??" I hear someone faintly ask from somewhere above me, their voice hoarse and anxious.

My head ached, and all noise seemed muffled and echoey. I tried to move, but pain bloomed all over my body and I groaned in discomfort as a searing pain coiled around my arm.

"Oh thank the stars!-" The voice whimpered, sounds slowly becoming clearer and more defined.

Opening my eyes, I found Ink gazing down at me, worry etched into his features as tears lazily slid down his cheekbones.
