Chapter 11. Final score

Felix's POV

Yesterday felt so weird, for some reason I was always getting splatted two or three times a match. One more round to the semifinals and it was Team Streak against Team Jungle then it was my Team against Team Purple Strike. I felt very nervous about this but I had my teammates to comfort me, it was so nerve racking for me because well it was my very first tournament. I kept on going to the weapon test area in Sheldon's store, my teammates were extremely worried about me because I kept on pushing myself, I just wanted to improve but Rosalina kept on telling me that "if you push yourself to hard you can hurt yourself." Even Mallory and the others told me even Brandon, I stopped for two days because my fractured my wrist because of it. It's been a week from the last Tournament match we did, this Friday is when we see who goes off to the semifinals and of course I was a nervous mess. I kept on checking I had everything I needed for this match but luckily Rosalina was with me and also Slate and Lucas.
"I'm sure it's going to be fine Felix, your over-" I cut him off.
"What if I screw up and we lose this match!! You guys would definitely kick me off the team and and-!!!"
"Calm the hell down Felix!!" Lucas yelled trying to make me stop.
"S-Sorry...."I just collapsed on the ground and laid there.
"Felix your never this nervous! Where's are Felix that's always happy and confident!" Rosalina smiled at me while I sat up from collapsing on the ground.
"I'm just overreacting." I laughed a bit rubbing my head in embarrassment. We all laughed and I just smiled.
"Maybe we should do something before tomorrow!!" Rosalina said as I was grabbing a powdered donut from my counter.
"That's not a bad idea but let's not stay up late or that could effect us." Slate said pointing at the time on his phone. It was 1:26 P.M, I tried to think of were we could go but nothing came to me. I was so worried about the last tournament Turf War, would I mess up everything or will I succeed? But then I heard Rosalina yell something and it caught my attention.
"Do you have to scream?" Lucas sounded pissed.
"Sorry, I have an idea!!" Rosalina started to jump up and down.
  "We'll spill it?" I elbowed her shoulder.
  "I was thinking that we should go to Wahoo World!!" She said showing a picture on her phone.
"Tck, That's such a boring place." Lucas replied looking at the picture with disgust.
"Someone's depressed." I teased him and laughed a bit.
"Shut up." He told me with a mean look.
"Well I have a few video games in my room, we can play on my switch?" I told them with a shrugging heading to get the games.
"Not a bad idea actually." Slate crossed his arms as he thought for a bit. I went to my room and grabbed Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Party, Smash bros. Ultimate, and Squid Jump.(just go with it) I walk out of my room with the games and place in on the table.
"Maybe we should all play Super Mario Party!" Rosalina picked the game up.
"Sure I guess." Lucas walked over to the couch and sat down with a Blue remote.
"I'll be red, Rosalina pink, and Slate you have green." I handed them the remotes.
"Thanks so much!" Rosalina thanked me and sat next to Lucas.
~Time skip~

"WHAT THE HELL FELIX!?" Lucas yelled at me as I stole 10 coins from him.
"That's revenge on not going to Wahoo World." I smirked at him.
"Well now let's see who wins." Slate said pointing after my last turn. The winning results showed Rosalina.
"YAY!!" She stood on the couch pouncing.
"Hehe, she won as Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy." Slate chuckled a bit.
"That's actually funny!" Lucas started to burst with laughter.
"H-Hey!! It's not funny!" Rosalina tackled Lucas started to hug him.
"Get off of me!" He tried to get her off but Rosalina did her bear hug.
"What can't take a hug!" Rosalina hugged him a bit tighter.
"Awww is this a ship coming to me?" I laughed a bit.
"NO!!" They both yelled at me.
"Well it kinda seems like it." Slate added laughing to.
"Well that was fun! But it's 7:42 P.M and I don't want to be exhausted tomorrow. So I'll see you guys tomorrow!" Rosalina said leaving me apartment.
"Yeah we should go. Will see you later." Lucas shakes my hand and left, Slate hugged me and headed out.
"That was sure fun!" I said out loud and started to clean up the food mess on the table. After I just took a shower and headed to bed. I can't be worried, tomorrow is a big day.
~The next day~

"Alright I got this!" I said straightening my hat and strapped my ink tank on my back. I walked out of my apartment and walk down to Inkopoils Square, I saw so many inkling looking at me and saying good luck to me. They at least said good luck which made me feel a bit better, I see the others on the stage waiting for me. Brandon's Team was right next to us and the other two teams were on the other side.
"Alright!!! Team Streak and Team Jungle will be the first match's to start!!!" The female inkling said with her microphone. The stage they were fighting on was Manta Marina, and our stage against the Purple Strike Team was Snapper Canal. It was cool seeing Manta Marina, I got to seat in the crowd were the rails are. It was so amazing and it was so breezy, as it stared Brandon was already in the middle with Keith and Zane and Mallory were inking their base. Brandon already splatted two other opponents and stared to ink the middle part of the stage. Keith was splatted by their Charger but Mallory came from behind and splatted him.
"What a nice combat!!" The inkling girl shouts. Keith respawns and high-fives his sister, as Mallory's special glows she looks at the map and sees Purple at the middle.
"Guys!!! I'll head to the middle!" I could hear Mallory shout and she squid-formed to the middle. Two opponents were their and She splatted them with no problem, she then used Ink Storm while Keith used Ink Jet. Mallory was able to splat One inkling and Keith splatted another. Brandon started to swing is roller at the Team leader of Team Purple Strike. He found out a way to get to their spawn point and inked their spawn area. The timer went off and it was 92.3 to 7.7. I was extremely shocked then before but I backed off to an alley way to relax, but I heard a familiar voice.
"Felix you ok?" I looked up and it was Liam!
"O-Oh Liam! I'm fine just need to release my worries a bit. I stuttered a bit and got up.
"Well I hope you win the last match to the semifinals!" He said helping me up.
"I best go, I have a match right now." I waved goodbye and headed to the stage.
"Good Luck!!" He yelled so I could here. I saw that Brandon had the top spot and now it was my turn to see if we made it.

~Brandon's POV~
Once we finished are final match I could see that I worried Felix, I felt bad because I never met for that. But it was her turn and the map she was on was Snapper Canal.
"Thanks for having my back back there." Keith wrapped his arm around his sisters shoulder.
"It's what siblings are for." She smiled at him.
"You did well too Zane!!" Mallory added.
"T-Thank you!" He said tightening his bandanna on his head. I walked off to the railings so I could see Felix and the others in their Turf War.
  "Where are you going Brandon?" Mallory chased after me as I was walking towards the section to the railings.
  "Just gonna watch Felix's and the others Turf War." I told her and continued to walk. They were already at the 2 minute point and looks like they were losing, Felix was struggling but I could see something odd on her face. She had a cut on her cheek and it was bleeding but nobody could see it because it was her ink color. But after there was one minute they made a huge comeback, thanks to Felix's booyah bomb they managed to get to the middle and Ink half of it and then the 10 second count down come. I was so nervous because I really hoped she would go to the semifinals, I'd love to v.s her again and try to win the 5th time. I closed my eyes but then I headed cheers from the crowd.
   "OMG THEY DID IT!!! She is so epic!!!" A girl screamed and I looked it was 50.6 to 49.4, I was so happy that I'll be able to V.S her. I also saw Rosalina, Slate, and Lucas giving her a big hug and she seemed so happy.
  "I can't believe we made it to the finals!" I heard Felix say as I walked out of the railings section.
   "Congratulations." I said walking over to them.
  "T-Thanks Brandon!" She was so excited but really surprised from her win.
  "I can't wait for tonight, we'll be seeing who the real champion is." I gave her a smirk.
    "Bring it on!! Team InkBurst won't give you an mercy." She said smirking back at me.
   "Same here with Team Streak." I smiled and headed another way with my team, but I quickly ran to Felix and grabbed her wrist.
  "H-Hey!!" She yelled at me.
     "Sorry,but I saw you bleeding on your cheek in the Turf War you were doing." I pointed at her cheek.
  "I-It's nothing, I-I swear." She stuttered covering her cheek.
  "Why is it cut then? Who did this to you?!" I was so worried about her because of the cut. Normally you don't get cuts in Turf War but something was wrong.
     "It was that blaster....they shot across my face really fast and I just got a cut from it." She replied covering it. I grabbed a bandage from my pocket and put it on her cheek.
  "It might help from getting infections. But make sure when you get home to put medicine on it." I told her as she waved goodbye. I honestly hope she is ok...
