Chapter 12. Its all down tonight

Felix's POV
Brandon seemed really worried about me when I got my cut from that blaster, but at least he was there for me. But I don't think I have any medicine for it but I'll look, I just couldn't believe we were going to the semifinals. The others were so happy because without my booyah bomb we would have never won, I have to remember that tonight is when we know who the real champion is. I removed half of the bandage and put medicine on it then left it there. It's felt weird just waiting but then I got a text message from Rosalina.

Rosalina-Hey Felix Slate and Lucas are coming to my house, wanna join?
                                   Sure, I guess- Felix

I guess I just grabbed my squidphone and keys to my apartment and went to Rosalina's house. I've never seen her house so it will be new to me and all, I also never seen her cook. Few minutes later I arrived in front of a beautiful duplex house, I was simply shocked.
  "Oh hey Felix! Come on it!" She sounded so excited after we won that that match to go to the semifinals.
    "Hey Slate, hey Lucas!" I waved to them as I walked in.
  "So what are w-" I stopped talking for a second and saw them racing in Mario Kart. It kinda didn't surprise me that they would v.s each other.
   "They sure are competitive." Rosalina whispered in my ear. I tried to hold my laugh but burst in laughter and both of them jumped. Lucas quickly paused it and looked at me with some sort of anger face.
   "What was that for!? We're trying to race!" Lucas responded to me as I was laughing.
    "Sorry sorry." I laughed and whipped a tear. They soon finished the race and Slate won.
  "Excited for tonight?" Slate said turning around.
   "Excited and nervous." I chuckled a bit.
"Tck, well I'm not nervous at all." Lucas said pointing at himself.
    "Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Confident." I teased him  and he just looked at me with a furious face.
   "Don't worry Felix! I'm a bit nervous." Rosalina tried to cheer me up.
  "Well it's 7:32 P.M. should we get something to eat?" Slate told us as he points to the time on his squidphone.
    "Yeah we should, the semifinals starts at 8:50 P.M." Lucas added as he showed the schedule of the scoreboard.
  "I can cook something!!" Rosalina clapped her hands and already grabbing a pan from her cabinet.
     "Are you sure? I don't want a octoling burning her whole house down." Lucas smirked. Rosalina was extremely pissed, even more than Lucas was. She tackled him and punched his face leaving a mark on his cheek.
  "Don't you fucking say that again." She walked back to the kitchen.
  "Holy carp she is strong..." Slate whispered to me.
    "No duh." I said back to him. After we ate it was 8:36 P.M.
"That was actually good curry." Lucas said as we walked down to my apartment. I forgot to get my ink tank and weapon so I grabbed it and we walked out to Inkopoils Square. We arrived and lights were flickering everywhere, it was like if it was Splatfest. I walked on the stage and sat their with Rosalina right next to me and Slate and Lucas were standing up. Then Brandon's Team, Team Streak came up to.
   "This will be one epic battle." Keith shouted as they stepped up.
  "Why don't we do one vs one?" Slate asked Brandon.
    "Sure, Mallory you take Rosalina, Zane take Lucas, and Keith you take Slate......I'm taking Felix on my own." He finished smirking at me. I smirked back so he wouldn't think I was afraid. It was 10:50 and inkling came rushing in and started to cheer.
"Alright everyone!!!! We got are semifinal Teams here!!! We have Team Streak and Team InkBurst!!! Let's give them a big cheer shall we!!" Everyone started to cheer so loud.
"The stage they will be fighting on is.......STARFISH MAINSTAGE!!" Everyone started to howl in cheer. I was so excited but worried, I have to keep it under control if I want to win. But in the crowd I saw Liam cheering for me, I felt me cheeks getting a bit warm after it but tried to ignore it. We entered in and we got on are spawn points. The match was started in three.....two........one.....but everything felt weird as it hit one, I couldn't move....it was like something was controlling me. I tried to ink Turf but it bothered me so much. I hid in a corner and tied to breath but my chest would get tighter and tighter. It was my anxiety coming to me, I just closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I have so many people supporting me.....just take a deep breath Felix..... I opened my eyes and looked behind my wall, I saw Brandon looking for me so then. I charged at him and splatted him. I inked the Turf but then we where being closed in be Mallory and Zane, then Brandon came and splatted all four of us with his roller. I was shocked...it was happening- SNAP OUT OF IT FELIX. I continued to ink back a re Turf but we all would get splatted, it was no use. We where going to lose, but my special charged up, I looked at the four of them and I smirked. I lifted in the air with my booyah bomb and my beaming eyes.
   "BOOYAH!!~" we all shouted together as a team. I threw the booyah bomb at all four of them and splatted them. It was 50 seconds on the clock and we made a comeback, Slate splatted Keith then Rosalina splatted Mallory as she was off guard. We then were in the middle and Rosalina used Ink Storm then Lucas used splash down after that Slate used InkJet. Ten seconds and as soon as I turned back Brandon swong his roller at me but as time went off he couldn't splat me. I stood their looking at the results as Judd and lil'judd were scoring. It was.......

50.1 to 49.9..........we.........won..........

I stood their with tears in my eyes and started to cry, the tears slid down my cheek and onto the ink. I was so happy, Rosalina attacked me and hugged me.
"WE DID IT WE DID IT!!!" Rosalina shouted and hugged me so tight. I looked at Brandon's Team and they were so happy for us.
"Congratulations Rosalina and you guys!" Mallory said putting her arm around Rosalina's shoulder.
"C-Congratulations!" Zane said with shaking my hand.
"Congrats!" Keith hugged me for 2 seconds and let go. Then Brandon stepped forward and hugged me so tight, I hugged him back and my tears dropped on his shoulder.
"You put up quick a match." He whispered in my ear.
"I CANT BELIEVE IT!! TEAM STREAK HAS BEEN BEATEN AND BRANDON THE CHAMPION HAS LOST HIS STREAK!!!" Everyone was cheering and as I exited guys were just started to come up to me and started to ask me my number or if we could hangout. I refused not only o be rude but it was odd because girls were doing the same to Brandon.
"Let's celebrate at my house!" Brandon said as we all walked out of Inkopoils.
"Wait!!" I heard a voice from behind me and I turned around.
"Congratulations on your win Felix!" Liam said as he tried to catch his breath from running into a crowd.
"T-Thank you Liam!" I felt my cheeks getting warm again. But I couldn't like him anymore, he has a girlfriend and I must respect that. We all left to party at Brandon's house, and I was extremely happy. I did deserve this....
