(Ok but this song goes really well with the entire vampire enthrallment/obsession thing. Like this is what it sounds like)

*Years in the past*

"I am not having this same argument with you again!" a young brown haired woman yelled as she grabbed a dark blue denim jacket from the back of a plain white door and placed it on herself aggressively. A handsome young man grabbed her arm in attempt to prevent the woman from leaving, neither adult noticing the very small little girl watching through a gap in her bedroom door. "Let me go" the woman said sternly. The man shook his head frantically as tears clouded his vision, "no, I can't let you go out there. Tell the Order to send someone else!". "There is no one else" she sighed in response, "Hannah was killed last night and the girls from the Australian branch were hurt so badly they may as well be dead. I have to go". The man stood in front of the door to obstruct her path, "please don't go out there I am begging you" he yelled as tears poured down his face "this clan is too tough, they're too dangerous you can't handle them on your own".

The woman was shaking with fear on the inside but was doing her best to act calm and in control, "there are innocent people out there who do not stand a chance against these vampires, this clan is trying to grow in strength and are planning on a massacre tonight. If I don't defend the innocents then who will? I can't live with that many bodies on my conscience". The beautiful young slayer pushed the man aside and opened the door. "And what about Jennie?" he cried, "we have a daughter who needs you". The mention of Jennie's name made the woman stop still, she too now beginning to cry, "she adores you..." she uttered through the lump in her throat. "Yes she does" the man replied with a nod, "but she idolises you. Duekie looks at you like you're her whole universe. You are her mother, nothing could ever replace you. There is a reason no slayers ever live to their 30th birthday!".

The young woman attempted to wipe her tears away with the sleeve of her jacket but there were too many, "there are people out there in danger, I have to save them". "You'll die trying" the man replied, "we both know if you walk out that door tonight, you won't come back". The woman's sobs were now becoming uncontrollable, "I am a slayer, and I know that is just another word for killer but my job is not just to kill vampires, it is to save innocents from them. I took an oath to protect innocents no matter what". "But-" the man whimpered. The slayer walked through the doorframe and out of the house, "if I'm ki-....if I don't return home, please tell Jennie that mommy loves her very much and I'll be with her always" she turned her head back towards the man slightly, "you are the best thing to ever happen to me, I don't deserve either of you. I love you".

"No!" the man screamed in distress as he could do nothing but watch his wife leaving, "please don't go".

"Jennie?" a female voice said for the third time. "Huh?" the black haired woman mumbled as she was brought back to reality, almost surprised to see the road in front of her, forgetting for a second that she was still driving her car. Lisa giggled, "you awake in there?" she joked as she lightly tapped the New Zealander's head. Jennie smiled and nodded acting cheerful as if nothing was wrong but the memory she had just relived haunted her every day and was never any less painful no matter how many years passed. It was one of the only vivid memories of her early childhood she still had and the one she thought about the most. The night her mother died.
