Fingers twitched slowly. Slender fingers, pale almost blue, rested against a cold stone floor in a large dark room with only scattered candles providing any light. "I...". Slender pale fingers twitched even slower than before. "Kk-k...". Mere gasps, barely audible. "H-..". Finals words hardly spoken and unheard as the twitching of fingers came to an end, there laying on the grey stone floor in the grand hall of the ancient castle was the now dead body of a young girl. A girl who only came out tonight for fun with friends, a celebration. It was her 20th birthday. Whatever this young woman's name is...was, is of no interest to those who shared her last moments on this earth. To them she was merely food, part of an ancient ritual she didn't understand or want to be involved in. A whole 20 years of life, memories, friends and family snuffed out within minutes. 20 years and more of potential and a future that won't happen. A human being attacked in a brutal and terrifying way then left to die alone, scared and in extreme agony. This nameless young woman's death wrapped in irony, her presence was vital for this traditional and enormously meaningful ceremony, yet she was the least important thing in it.
The grand hall burst into applause and celebration as their Queen marked the end of the ritual by painting their clan symbol on the new initiate's head, in blood, naturally. Sunmi gradually raised from her knees and stood up straight, aided by the hand of her sire. The dark haired vampire smiled and respectfully bowed to her new Queen, who responded by hugging her. Dara was not an affectionate person, she wasn't a person at all. If anything in existence embodied what it meant to be a demon, it was Dara. Loyalty and clan seemed like they were the most important things in the world to this vampire queen but in truth it only mattered providing these vampires were loyal to her. Love was not something Dara was capable of so her signs of affection were soulless and fake. A hug from Queen Sandara was the most hollow and emotionless hug anybody could ever experience.
"Wine, music" Dara declared with a simple click of her fingers. The more musically inclined members of the clan immediately began to play instruments and perform the only genre most of the clan enjoyed, old traditional pieces of music and long forgotten folk songs from centuries ago. The younger vampires preferred more modern music closer to their own time however they were outnumbered in this clan, the majority were 150+ years old. Still, the festivities were an enjoyable occasion for everyone and not something a single member of this clan would miss.
The clan all continued their celebrations as they left the new vampire and her sire alone for a little while. Both girls lowered the large hoods on their velvet black robes, with red detailing. Sunmi was a little overwhelmed but felt good, she took a deep breath, her eyes suddenly widening when she realised that no air was being taken in. Lisa smiled and took the dark haired woman by the hand, "try not to panic. You've only been a vampire for a day, your brain still needs to adjust. It only remembers being human so it tries to force bodily functions natural to a human, like breathing. Of course you no longer need to breathe but the brain hasn't figured that out yet and is freaking out a bit", she squeezed Sunmi's hand supportively, "you'll be fine soon". The newly turned vampire smiled and nodded her head, already feeling calmed by the presence of her sire.
"What is the hardest thing to get used to, in your experience I mean?" she asked. Lisa pondered over the question for a moment, ask any other vampire that question and you'd receive very similar responses, not being able to step into the sunlight, the moment they realise their heart isn't beating, the primitive need to hunt and kill, the voice of the devil subtly whispering in the back of their mind constantly every day and night from the second they were turned into a vampire in a language so ancient and unhuman that they don't even know what it is yet can somehow understand every word Satan says. For the Thai however, it was none of these things, "cold skin" she said as she gently rubbed her thumb over the back of Sunmi's hand, "our bodies are always cold, there's never any heat. I don't think I'll ever get used to that" she continued as her mind began to wander. The blonde's thoughts now consumed by the sensation of Jennie's hot skin as her hands travelled down the teacher's stomach, the warmth from between Jennie's legs underneath her tongue. Jennie, her thoughts were consumed by Jennie. As always.
