I got home and sat on the couch, scrolling through Instagram. I didn't have a big exam to study for, I just didn't want Jake to feel bad for going into work. Max come up to me and jumped up on the couch. He wasn't very small anymore. More like the size of a Yorkie now.
"Hi buddy," I said to him, patting him on the head. "You probably need to go potty."
I stood up and grabbed his leash and he came over to me and sat down as I connected the leash to his collar.
I walked downstairs and walked for about fifteen-twenty minutes. He did what he needed to do and I walked to clear my mind.
"You're the most stable person in my life right now Max," I joked when we got back inside. At about six I got in the shower to start getting ready for dinner with Jake. I blow dried my hair and straightened it. I put on a tight fighting, grey, mid-thigh length dress that had small straps on them. I put in my contacts and did a glamorous, James Charles like makeup look. I put on a pair of black velvet Louboutin shoes, that my dad got me for Christmas. I slipped on a denim jacket and grabbed my phone. I sat on my couch for fifteen minutes before I checked the time. 7:30. I was starting to contemplate between calling Jake or just waiting. I decided to wait a little longer because I don't want to seem clingy.
At about 7:55 I was getting tired of waiting so I just decided to call Jake.
"Hello," Jake said when he picked up.
"Hey," I said. "Are we still going to dinner tonight?"
"Oh my God, Izzy, I completely forgot. I am so sorry. I've just been so busy with work and -"
"Jake," I said taking a deep breath, cutting him off. "It's alright. I understand you're busy. We'll hangout some other time."
"Izzy I'm so sorry, again," he said.
"Like I said, it's fine."
"Rain check?"
"Yeah."
"Thank you so much."
"No problem."
"Alright. Bye baby."
"Bye."
I hung up and decided to text David to see if he was too busy.
Me: Wanna Hang?
David: I thought you had a date with
Jake.
Me: I did. Until he forgot. So are you
busy?
David: For you? Never.
Me: Alright I'm coming over.
I change out of my dress and heels and put on a grey, cropped sweatshirt and a pair of black, high waisted leggings. I put on a pair of all white Adidas NMD_R1's and headed out the door. When I got to David's house he greeted me outside with a big hug.
"David it's not like we broke up," I said as he squeezed tighter. "He's just busy."
David let go and I pushed up my glasses.
"Hey baby," Zane said walking outside, dragging out the words. I could smell the alcohol on his clothes. I loved normal Zane, but honestly, I loved drunk Zane more.
"Hi Zane," I responded, trying to keep my face away from his breath. "Do you have alcohol, Dave?"
"You already know I keep your favorite vodka stocked."
I squealed and made my way inside. I went to the cabinet that David hid it in behind plates and I grabbed the bottle, taking a long swig from it. I sat on the couch, vodka bottle in had scrolling through my timeline. I took another long swig before someone covered my eyes.
"David get your sweaty hands off my eyes," I said, annoyed.
"I'm not David," the person said.
I gasped and looked behind me.
