I have no idea how long I was asleep for because when I woke up I felt someone tapping my shoulder.

"Ma'am," a guy said, faintly. It sounded he was out in the distance and he was blurry as I tried to open my eyes. I finally opened my eyes all the way and see a guy. He had black hair, tan skin, and had slanted eyes that look as brown as brown could get. "My name is Daniel. I'm here to bring you back to LA."

I was confused as I stood up.

"Am I still asleep," I asked.

"No," he laughed. I grabbed my phone and the two bags I brought with me. I had no idea how I still had them but I did and I followed the man to a helicopter that would bring me to the airport for a plane ride back home. Apparently we were in Utah.

When I got off the plane it felt so good to be back in LAX. I waited by the baggage carousel for Natalie. I lifted my head as I saw David run into the airport. He was frantic like he was looking for somebody. I slowly stood up and when I did, David made eye contact with me. He walked over to me but as he got closer and he picked up his pace. He hugged me, closer than he ever has.

"David what are you doing here," I asked, when David let go of me, not looking him in the face.

"What do you mean," he responded.

"I mean why are you here? I figured you'd be with Liza or filming some video."

"Izzy, you're my best friend and you got into a plane crash, I would give up anything to come see you."

  "Where's Natalie?"

"She's parking the car. But that doesn't matter. Are you okay? Do you need food? Are you thirsty?"

"I just want to grab Max from your place and head back to my apartment. Classes start again soon, so I have to prepare."

"Izzy, you were just in a plane crash, I think preparing for school can be held off for a little bit."

"I just want to go back to my normal life David, if that means drowning myself in school work, I'm fine with that."

David picked up my bags as we walked over to the door.

I saw Natalie and gave her a tight squeeze.

"I was so scared Izzy," Natalie said.

"I know, me too," I responded. I took my bags from David and walked with Natalie to the car with David trailing behind. I put my bags in the back seat and got in the car. I let Natalie sit up front so I could be as far away as possible from David. It sounded petty that I was mad at David, I mean we only dated for about three months but he told me he loved me. I mean if you love someone why would you break their heart just to go back to your ex.

About an hour later we were at David's house and I saw Max. He looked so big. I couldn't stop petting him. I went to David's room to get the rest of my stuff.

"You know, you don't have to leave," he said leaning on the door frame. "You could stay in your room here."

"David when you decided that it was okay to break up with me over text, that was when I decided it was okay for me to stay as far away from you as possible," I said bluntly, putting my stuff into my bags.

"But Izzy, we've known each other our whole lives. You can just throw away those years of friendship."

"Watch me," I stated, grabbing my bags. I grabbed Max's stuff and hugged Natalie goodbye.

"Call me," she said. I grabbed my keys off the counter where I left them the day David dropped me off at the airport.

"Izzy," David said before I left.

I turned around to face him. Why the fuck did I turn around?

"What David," I said looking at him annoyed.

"I'm sorry, Izzy."
