It had been one month since finals. I passed each of them. Now I was spending time with my parents, my ten year old brother, and thirteen year old sister in Germany.

One night I got a text from David. When I read it. I felt like my whole world was falling apart.

David: Hi Isabel. I know this is a bad way to tell you this. But I needed to tell you this somehow and as soon as possible. I had a conversation with Liza and she said she wanted to get back together. I immediately thought about you. But I started thinking about Liza ad how much I missed her and loved her. I said I wanted to get back together with her but I just needed to handle one thing. You. I'm so sorry. You're my best friend and I know this will hurt you because I know you. I just hope you won't hate me forever. I love you.

All I responded with was 'forever.' That was how we always said I love you, too.

I didn't want to ruin my family's vacation so I didn't say anything. The most I had cried was one single tear.

Today I was on my way back to L.A, school was starting again in a month. This was my second to last year in law school and at this point I just wanted for it to be done with.

Natalie was picking me up and I hope she just doesn't bring him up. But knowing Natalie she's going to ask if I'm okay.

I decided to take a nap since my flight would be over twelve hours long.

I was in a car. I looked to the left of me and saw Jake. He was tapping his fingers on the steering wheel to the beat of the song that was playing.

"Do you wanna get Chipotle," he asked looking at me. All I could was stare at him, memorized.

"Izzy," he chuckled, calling out to me.

  "S-sorry," I said.

  "Did you hear me?"

  "Yeah."

  "Oh really?"

  "Mhm."

  "Then what did I say?"

I looked away trying to hide a smile as I had no idea what he said.

  He chuckled, knowing I didn't.

I smiled and turned my head forward again.

"Jake look out," I shouted as I noticed a car coming closer.

I jumped up out of my sleep, sweating. That was the first time I had dreamed about the accident in two months.

"Ladies and gentlemen will be landing in Los Angeles in about five hours," the flight attendant said.

I sighed as I moved in my seat, attempting to get comfortable again.

As soon as I got comfortable the plane started shaking.
