Chapter Sixteen

“No way!” I exclaimed and Tessa squealed happily.

“Yeah, he did!”

“And what did you say?!”

She rolled her eyes at me but smiled. “Yes, of course! Didn’t you see how badly I wanted him to ask me already?” She started the car and we started driving home. She nudged me and smiled at me. “So... you and Beau are serious now?”

I blushed and looked at my fingers. “Well... I don’t know. We haven’t kissed yet... I mean, we were really close but then we heard you screaming and kinda jumped apart!”

She gaped and looked at me in shock. “Oh my god, don’t tell me I ruined your first kiss with Beau! Oh my gosh, I’m seriously sooo sorry! Will you forgive me?”

I laughed and nodded. “Sure I will! And I guess he will do it again... Aww, he was so cute, you should’ve seen him! Have you and Jai kissed yet?”

She bit the inside of her cheek before she blushed hard. “Maybe...?”

“Awww!” I squealed, happy for my friend. “That’s so adorable! You, Jess and I are wrapping the Brooks around our fingers... Then we will have the same surname someday and we will be sisters in law!”

She laughed and shook her head. “It’s funny how you’ve already planned our entire future!”

I just shrugged with a smile spread across my face. “I’m just happy now, okay? Aww, little Tessa has a boyfriend!”

She fake-pouted and poked out her tongue at me. “It’s not my fault that I’m the youngest in the group, okay? Now, shut up. We’re home and I guess the others are already fast asleep.”

I nodded and quietly we went up the path to our door. We opened the door and like we were guessing everyone was already in their rooms and probably sleeping. “G’night, Tessa!”

“Night, Marlene,” she smiled and winked before she entered her bedroom. I went towards mine and collapsed on my bed. Although the date wasn’t that good at the middle part I was more than happy.

After taking a quick shower I feel asleep soon.

The next day I was about to meet up with Austin... Why did I agree on meeting? I wouldn’t see Beau when I was with him and that sucked. I wish they would be friend already... But after yesterday I wasn’t really sure if I still wanted to see him.

He has been a total idiot at the cinema. I wasn’t jealous!

It was just annoying that he had been snogging around next to me with that girl. I guess he wouldn’t have liked it if I had been snogging with Beau all the time.

Msg.: When r we gonna meet?

I sighed and thought about calling him off. I don’t think we should meet today.

It took some time before he wrote back and I was afraid he wouldn’t have gotten my message. I went into the bathroom in the meantime and took a shower. The hot water was dripping down my skin and soaking my long hair. I breathed out and smiled because I really loved showering.

My shampoo was smelling like melons and I breathed in the scent. I stood in the hot water for a couple of minutes before I put it oof and wrapped a towel around my body. I stepped out, just the moment I heard my phone ringing.

“Good morning, beautiful! I hope I didn’t wake you up!”
