Chapter Two

“Hey, I am Luke“, one of the boys introduced himself. Next to him stood a boy who looked exactly like him – until I saw Luke had a dot on his nose.

“I am Jai, his twin brother”, the other one introduced himself.

“I am James”, another said.

“I am Skip.”

“And I’m Beau.” I looked at Beau and suddenly I felt my heart beat quicken. He looked a lot like his younger brothers, Jai and Luke, but something about him was different. His smile affected me and instantly my smile grew, too. “Nice to meet you”, I whispered and shook his hand. “I am Marlene.”

He smiled even brighter and showed some white perfect teeth. “Nice name. You’re not from here, are you? Although you sound a lot Australian.”

I nodded. “I live here for almost thirteen years now. I am from Austria.”

“Oh, where is that?”

I grinned. Most of the time people didn’t know where Austria was but it was okay. “In Europe.”

He nodded. “Cool. If you go there next time you should take me with you.”

I blushed and nodded. “Alright!”

I looked over to see the other girls talking to the boys, too. “How are you?”, I asked him. I just didn’t want to stop talking to him. He was so nice and it set free butterflies in my stomach just to stand next to him.

“Oh, I am great! I am talking to a beautiful girl, the sun is shining and it’s Sunday.”

“Dare Sundays?”, I asked and blushed. Had he really just said I was a beautiful girl?

He nodded. “We uploaded it tonight. It already has more than thousand clicks but I hope YouTube won’t delete it again.”

I nodded. “Yeah, like with the salt and ice challenge.”

“You’ve watched it?”

I nodded. “Of course. It was so funny.” I grinned. Somehow I felt really relaxed next to him and he made me feel really comfortable.

Ah, no. I was NOT allowed to fall for him! He was some world-famous internet star and I was just some random girl. I bit my lip. Maybe I should talk to his brothers and friends, too, but I didn’t really want to.

“Thanks”, he said and smiled slightly.

I looked into his eyes and felt like I could drown in them. They had the lovely shade of light brown, you could say hazel. They were sparkling against the hot sunshine and I convinced myself it was only so hot because the sun was shining. I felt really warm inside and I started fuming with the collar of my shirt.

“Hot, isn’t it?”, he asked and winked.

I blushed even more as someone suddenly jumped on my back. I managed not to fall as I saw ginger hair infront of my eyes. “Kirsty?!”, I asked and looked back to meet her eyes. She was grinning bright and whispered. “Oh, someone’s in love?” It was so quiet that only I could hear it but it made me blush even harder if this was possible.

“What? No”, I said and shook my head. I looked around and saw everyone was staring at the two of us. The Brooks-brothers laughed and also James and Skip were smiling slightly. Oh god, how embarrassing!

“I didn’t think you’d actually do that”, Skip said and smiled at Kirsty.

“You dare, I do”, she shouted and I threw her from my back. She landed on her feet and poked out her tongue at me. We all started laughing at her words and soon we were talking to everyone.
