Chapter Seven

The next day I woke up with a smile on my face. Screw Beau!

I went out of my room and met Tatjana who had a huge grin oher face, too. “James, huh?“, I grinned and poked her in the side.

She laughed and blushed. “Maybe…? Who knows…?“

I laughed even more and together we went downstairs. “You’re always talking in riddles, girl. Tell me! I wanna know it all!“ 

She grinned and opened a drawer to get out the Cheerios. Those were her absoulte favourite cerials and she couldn’t stay one day without it. She really took something with her to Germany! “Okay. Well, Kirsty and Skip were suddenly gone and so walked around on the beach. He is so nice. Like seriously. You’ve never seen such a czte guy before.“ The she shut her mouth and looked guilty suddenly. “I’m sorry…“

I shrugged. “It’s okay, Tatjana. I guess I’ll have to apologize to Jess and Tessa later. I was totally overreacting. It’s really not that bad. Furthermore I’ve met some really nice guy yesterday…“

Tatjana almost dropped the milk and stared at me wide eyed. “No. Seriously? Where? What’s his name?“

I shrugged. If she could tease me I could tease her, too! “Who knows?“, I smiled, winked and poked my tongue out at her.

I never thought she would do this but she dared to throw a Cheerios at me! I fake-gaped and shook my head in disbelief. “How could you?“, I asked and closed my eyes, biting my lower lip in fake-disappointment.

She came around the aisle and hugged me tightly. “I am so sorry, Mar!“, she squealed and fake-sobbed. “Will you ever be able to forgive me?“

I looked up at her with my puppy face and whimpered: “I will forgive you if you make me a sandwich.“

She grinned and went up to make a sandwich. “Everything to make princess Marlene forgive me!“, she laughed and made the sanwich. Within a few seconds she was done and handed it to me before she sat down across from me and started eating her Cheerios. “So, tell me, who is he and what have you been doing?“

I shrugged, taking a bite of my sandwich. “His name is Austin and we just walked around a bit… nothing special.“ I smiled at her and took another bite.

She grinned like a Cheshire Cat at me. “I wish I was as beautiful as you… all these boys are chasing you!“

I hit her arm playfully yet she still dropped her spoon into her bowl of Cheerios and the milk flew around. “Shut up, Tatjana! You know you’re beautiful, okay?!“

Tatjana chuckled and stood up tp get something to clean up that mess. “Yeah, sure…“

I rolled my eyes at her but gave up. I just finished my sandwich and went to the sink to wash my hands. “Oh, err… the boys will come over today…“

I gasped and turned off the water. “And you’re telling me now?“ I groaned and ran up to my room. I wouldn’t want to be in the same house as Beau so I needed to leave. Yeah, it was my house and I shouldn’t run away but I knew how boys were – he wouldn’t let go. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I was such a mess.

I quickly put on some make-up and grabbed my shoes and my purse. “Good bye!“, I shouted before I ran out of the house. I really didn’t want to talk to Beau although I knew I had to… but better not now.

Maybe I was just childish. Yeah, I was childish but I haven’t been for the past few years. I always behaved although-

No, I wouldn’t think about that now. It’s my past and I should leave it behind. That’s why it was called past. I sighed and again and thought about where to go to as someone catched my eye. I grinned and walked over to him. I patted his shoulder and as he turned around he smiled at me.
