Chapter Four

Beau’s POV

I fished out my phone and decided on texting Marlene. She was pretty nice and always very good looking. I didn’t know what she was thinking about me but I liked her… Well, never give up hope.

Hey, beautiful, any plans 4 2morrow? I don’t and I thought we could hang out together :) Beau

The moment I pushed the ‘SEND‘ – button I regreted it. Oh my god, what if she knew now I liked her? Oh, I’m so stupid! But that moment my phone buzzed and I got a text message.

From: Marlene x

Msg.: Sure, what would u like 2 do?

My heart skipped a beat and I smiled like an idiot at my phone as I answered: I dunno, u decide. Maybe ice or cinema?

From: Marlene x

Msg.: Ice sounds gr8 :)

I answered her: Alright, I’ll call u 2morrow morning again. G’nite, beautiful ;)

I face-palmed myself. Why couldn’t I stop flirting? Luke came in and literally jumped onto me. “Beau, I am bored! Let’s visit the girls!“

I grinned. “Oh, why would you want to visit them?“, I teased him. I knew he had a crush on this girl we met some time ago, Jess. And it was pretty obvious she fancied him, too!

“Because it’s boring here“, he murmured, all red in his face.

“Aww, someone’s in love?“, I asked and pushed him off me so I could stand up. I nodded and grabbed my shoes. “Get the others, I’m bored, too“, I said without looking up, I could feel my facing warming up but I hoped he wouldn’t see me blushing.

Luke sqealed happily and left my room, shouting for Jai, James and Skip. I put on my shoes and left the room, too. I knew the girls didn’t live far away so we decided to go there by foot. I can tell, I was pretty excited. Although I had seen Marlene just this afternoon I wanted to see her again… No, I should stop thinking about that.

Why would she like me after all? In almost every of our videos I was puking. Not very attractive to girls, I guess. I sighed and looked at Luke. He was lucky, Jess totally liked him, too.

I rang the door bell as the boys suddenly pressed their bodies against the door and I was just unlucky to stand between the boys and the door. The door opened and we fell in. I could see Marlene looked at us shocked and I grabbed her foot.

She looked down at me. “Guys, what are you doing here?“, she asked smiling.

“We’re bored!“, Jai shouted from somewhere beneath the rest of us.

“Jai, are you okay?“, Tessa asked and I grinned. Oh, someone fancied my other brother, too?

Marlene kneed on the ground and smiled at me. My heart beat quickened and I smile das she dragged me out of the pile. I smiled and she asked me: “What are we doing now?“

“Distracting Jess and Luke, of course“, I grinned and wiggled my eyebrows at her. Before I knew what I was doing I grabbed her hand and ran upstairs with her. “What is Jess‘ room?“

She pointed at a door with a blue J on it and we burst into the room. I grinned as I saw they were both leaning and and almost kissing but they jumped apart as they recognized we were in now, too. Jess‘ eyes wandered down to our entwined fingers and quickly Marlene dropped my hand. Boo.

“Gotcha“, she smiled at Jess and poked her tongue out at her. She glared at Marlene and she just laughed. Her laugh was one of the most adorable laughters I had ever heard and I swear, my heart skipped a beat and I stopped breathing for a second. She ran out of the room and I followed her.
