Chapter One

“Tessa! Tatjana! Kirsty! Jess!”, I shouted.

My friends turned around and suddenly we ended up in a huge group hug. “How are you, girls? I’ve missed you loads!”

“I’ve missed you, too!”, Kirsty smiled. She had ginger hair which was – like always- up in a messy bun. She was wearing a white shirt, a black, thin jacket, skinny black jeans and high heeled bootees.

Tessa’s hair lie free on her shoulders. She had the cutest smile in the entire world. She was wearing normal blue jeans, a red long sleeved shirt with thin white stripes and dark blue sneakers.

Tatjana had black hair which was bound up in a pony tail. It made her look younger than she actually! She was wearing black jeans, a white shirt, a light blue jacket and black bootees, too. She must’ve bought them with Kirsty!

Jess had brown hair and also her smile could seduce all the boys. She wore a black skirt and a grey tank top. “Aren’t you cold?”, I asked her.

She shook her head. “Marlene, we’re in Australia!”

“Yeah, but it’s winter! It only has 15°!”

Jess shook her head and laughed. “I thought you were used to the cool temperatures when you were in Austria? I thought it’s cold there in winter.”

“It is, but 15° aren’t warm, either”, I responded and smiled at her. Then I turned to face Tessa: “How’s Finland been? Are you a good student?”

She laughed and nodded. “Yeah, actually I am. It was so weird at the beginning! I was used to English already and then finish again… I felt really weird.”

“Same here”, I chuckled. “If you’re used to English German sounds really gross! Ugh, I’m so happy to be here again!”

“I totally agree. It was cool to be in Germany again but… I need to be here for a while now, again”, Tatjana agreed.

“And how was England?”, I asked Kirsty.

She smiled and blushed slightly. “Ooh, tell me, what happened?”, I asked.

She blushed even more and bit her lip. She had a huge grin on her face. “Okay, remember Jason? The boy I told you about when we had our last video chat? He asked me out, three days before I came here again. He seemed really sad when I said I couldn’t. But I promised him to call him! Oh my god, I think he likes me.”

“Oh, who couldn’t like you?”, I asked. “You are stunning, girl!”

She giggled. “Nah. But what about you girls? Any boys?”

Tatjana, Tessa and I shook our heads so we all turned to look at Jess. “Jess, who is it? Do we know him?”, Tessa asked and grinned.

“Err… maybe…?”

“Tell us already!"

“There is nothing between us. It’s just… I met him and his friends last week and they were really nice. Maybe you know them but for sure not because you saw them already. Maybe some time ago, when we were juts kids”, Jess explained and her face turned redder and redder with every word.

“Who is he?”

“We are just friends, okay?”, Jess asked.

“Sure”, Kirsty laughed and punched Jess in her arm playfully. “Now, tell us already, what’s his name?”

“Err… His name is Luke.”

“Oh, what a nice name! I think I know a guy called Luke. Oh, wait, no. I don’t know him, I only know him through the web”, Tessa sighed.
